Hey, peeps, because of reasons I’m wanting to try my hand at some Fitz-ships that are not Fitzsimmons (I love Fitzsimmons, I’m just looking to try something new), so maybe send me prompts for Fitz-ships of your liking?

So uhhh... can we talk about Trip meeting Bucky but especially sambucky? Bucky getting to meet the grandson of one of his friends and find out how many embarrassing stories Gabe passed down :3 Sam is taking notes

trip and fitz as roommates would be so great, and also very clearly only a slightly cleaner and more responsible version of april and andy

skye is mildly amused by this, and jemma is just flabbergasted for the most part. she understands how leopold ‘officially licensed trash disaster’ fitz can live like this, but trip seems like a normal human being who should actually be able to capably take care of himself and his environment

trip just shrugs and hands fitz back the chili frisbee while petting their bright orange girl cat named ‘steve’ with his other hand, and points out that they have two whole clean forks and a frisbee to eat off of, what more could they ever want

jemma attempts to share a significant look with skye, a familiar one that says ‘can you believe we’re dating these two idiots,’ except skye has disappeared into the kitchen to search for another frisbee so she can have some chili

(at some point may kidnaps all four of them and takes them to bed bath and beyond and goes in with them because there’s a 30% chance they’ll all die if she doesn’t keep an eye on them. and then she kicks their ass in the marshmallow gun fight they have when they get home.)

Trip held out his hand, trusting that the other would take it in time.

Write a sentence of a story for me and I will give you the next five. =)

Fitz looked at the hand he was being offered then down at his own. 

Of course, rationally, he knew that he could trust Trip but the drug that he had been injected with during his time in HYDRA’s inconvenient care, it was messing with his imperfect brain.

As for Trip, he knew that he couldn’t rush Fitz or this would blow up in their faces.

Both men watched as the lighter hand slowly made its way to the hand being offered so that Trip could help Fitz up off of the ground.

Tripfitz - “You don’t need to protect me.”

Fitz huffed.

The anger and frustration simmered underneath his skin, barely contained. He couldn’t believe that Trip would do something that stupid. The engineer ignored the other man in the room.

“You ‘re gonna have to talk to me eventually.”

Clearly Trip underestimated his bull-headedness if he thought that it would be easy.

He tried to focus on the device in front of him so the other man would get a clue and leave him alone.

The problem was, no matter what he focused on, he could still sense the other man’s presence.  Fitz didn’t understand why he was here bothering him at all.  He would have thought he’d prefer Simmons’ company.

The engineer moved around the lab as he continued to work.

 “Talk to me, Fitz. Why are you upset?”

Spinning around quickly, he met Trip’s gaze.

“You don’t have any idea what has me upset? Seriously, Trip?”

The specialist just gave him an unimpressed look.

“You put yourself in unnecessary danger.”

“It’s wasn’t unnecessary. I did it to protect you.”

The Scotsman crossed his arms and glared at Trip.

“You don’t need to protect me.”

Trip sighed then crossed the room so that he was standing in front of Fitz.

“Yes, I do.”

“No, you don’t.”

“Yes, I do.”

“Why? Wouldn’t you rather protect Jemma?”

The specialist looked confused by his statement which caused him to become confused.

“She’s my friend and I protect my friends. What’s your point, Fitz?”

Fitz let out an exasperated sigh and fought to not roll his eyes.

“Well, she was in more danger than I was but you chose to protect to me, argue with me about protecting me.”

“Why do you keep bringing up Simmons? What she have to do with anything other than being our friend?”

Fitz threw his hands up in the air in frustration.

“Why wouldn’t you protect the woman you’re in love with?”

At the question, Trip quirked an eyebrow at the other man.

“You think I’m in love with her?”

 “Yes. Everyone can see it; see you’ve been attracted to her since you met.”

Shaking his head, the specialist couldn’t help laughing lightly.

“You’ve got it all wrong, genius. She’s not my type.”

Fitz looked up at the taller man and blinked as his mind processed what was said and what that implied.

“Oh. Well, that changes things.”

There isn't a "Trip, Fitz, and Skye pick apart the new Star Wars trailer" fic yet. Honestly, I'm a little surprised.
