At first appears the Arena seemed to be based off a pre-Panem era city called New York City but after the bloodbath had ensued and camera angles changed, more of the Arena was revealed. It seemed to be based of pre-Panem era holidays from what Andromache could tell. What was the implication? All most all in the Districts wouldn’t understand the reference and many in the Capitol wouldn’t. So who was the message aimed at? Those that seek to return times before the Games? 

Andromache would have to ponder it further later because she noticed a familiar face walk into the Tower lobby bar. “Trixie, that’s unfortunate about your Tribute. She had looked promising.” Andromache reached into her satchel and produced Tupperware. “Lemon poppyseed scone?” She offered before continuing “That girl from Twelve is some feral thing, isn’t she?”

“How are you holding up?” The question came with an offering of tea, long after all of the children had all gone to bed. Things had quieted in Twelve in the last week, but there was an unspoken, deep sympathy she felt for Trixie, KyAnne, and Valkyrie since they’d moved in in Twelve. She knew what it felt like to lose a home. To lose everything and somehow keep going. She sat beside her on the couch, patiently awaiting an answer-- or to be brushed off.

KyAnne hates leaving Trixie. She knew her girl. Almost two decades of knowing the raven haired victor proved as such and KyAnne knew when Trixie was struggling, no matter how good the other thought she was at hiding it. She was there when Trixie would wake in the middle of the night drenched in sweat, she was there when Trixie just felt like laying in bed all day. The struggle with ptsd and depression was real and KyAnne knew it, no matter how much her girl managed to hide it from everyone else.

So her first thought upon arriving in the Capitol was to find the brunette. Scout had come to take care of Charity, a blessing really for the deaf girl and her mentor. She'd seen hide not hair of her boy since boarding the train, so after assuring they all got off the train safely, KyAnne has gone looking for Trixanna and Val, knowing where the mother daughter duo would be.

The elevator doors opened with a ding onto the second floor of the tower. "Trix..." she called out, stepping off the elevator and running her fingers through her short hair to brush it out of her face.

“Our lovely representative for Two, please welcome Ms. Trixanna Quartz!” Julia smiled unceasingly at the woman as she approached, welcoming her as she sat. “We could focus on another not-so-great year for our tributes from Two, but let’s talk kiddos! Just how is your little one doing?”

Quartz!” Caesar beamed and clapped himself with the audience before gesturing for them to simmer down. “Now Trixie, we were sorry to see your tributes exit the Games so quickly, but it was quite the scandal. Did you have any inkling that the two were at odds?”

“Ah, Trixanna! The woman of the hour, and mother of the year!” Caesar greeted as he stepped forward to bow and kissed the woman’s hand. He led her toward her chair before he took his own seat. “Trixie, we’ve been waiting so long for you to bring more beautiful Quartzes into the world, you must know! How is your darling daughter doing? What is motherhood like for you?”

“Long time, no see.” She smiled warmly at Trixie, holding out her plate of indulgent chocolates, offering her to take a couple of her choice. It wasn’t like there weren’t plenty more where that came from (and many more would be coming home with her. “I didn’t realize Thirteen was in Twelve’s backyard.” The train ride had been a far cry from the usual long overnight journey to the Capitol. It had been a few hours, at best.
