Chapter 4: Coin Trick. In which a little god proves himself to another, slightly larger god.
As it turned out, the little god had a number of words Bellroc could make no sense of. Yeet . Angey. Video games . Somehow, he had gotten comfortable enough to sit down with his legs swinging over the cliffside. It was such a vulnerable position. Bellroc didn’t even need fire to kill him when a single good shove would do. Did he trust them so implicitly? Did he really think it was that safe?
Much to their chagrin, it was. Bellroc sat cross legged besides him, floating inches off the ground as they inspected a small coin.
“Okay, now tell me what you see.”
This was meaningless. “It is a small coin made from an alloy of copper and nickel. One side bears the face of a human.”
“Good! Anything seem weird about it?” Toby, they decided, was far too excited about the coin.
“What would I know about your currency?”
