is the Fake Diploma thing a universal experience? we had to walk to the back of the theatre place to get our real diploma
i think so??? i mean its probably a good thing because i crumpled the fuck out of my fake diploma while sitting around on stage and also dropped it more than once. you can’t trust teens with the real deal i guess
I think yr points are very valid, but it should also be noted that "white passing" is something that varies greatly between different areas. A person seen as white-passing in a multicultural, diverse urban area may not be read the same way in a predominantly white city or town.
yeah, because if you’re already surrounded by non-white people whose appearances are beyond plausible deniability you’re probably less likely to recognise that kind of thing in less obviously non-white people

yeah like…. if dudes face super oppressive & restrictive norms re: their appearances its usually bc they arent white/cis/able bodied/whtvr, and those oppressive norms apply to non-white/cis/able bodied/whtvr ppl of ALL genders anyways
yeah exactly its like . people dont get why body positivity is there for white cishet able bodied women but not white cishet able bodied men when there is a Massive amount of media that portrays said men with non-ideal body types in an extremely positive light and there’s no shit that they have to deal with that women don’t face at a much more significant and damaging level
