Tsu’tey was always a quiet man. Yes, he was outspoken, a warrior who continuously acted bravely in every battle. Yet, he was never one to talk. Silence was where he found respite. Silence was where he could retreat into himself away from the duties being the next Olo'eyktan.
He rarely made conversation about himself. Opting to simply listen to others as they spoke at him. He found it easier, simpler. Yet, with you he couldn’t help but want to speak.
Usually, you would find yourself in the rookery at the top of hometree. The view from the top was impeccable. The skyline going for miles and miles as you watched the world go by past you. Since the sky people had arrived you had found less and less time to retreat into your corners. To hide away from the chaos.
You sat on the edge of the tree. Your feet dangled off the edge, hands bracing beside you. The wind was cooler at the top of hometree. Brushing against your toes, sending soft shivers up your body.
It was long since the light has settled into darkness. The stars in the sky shimmered across the sky like diamonds on a black canvas. The soft hoots and howls of the wildlife were dampened by the rustling sounds of the wind against the branches of hometree.
“Am I interrupting?” His voice was smooth. You immediately recognized it. How couldn’t you?
Instantly, you felt your heart rate start to quicken. Drumming inside your ribcage as you turned around to see Tsu’tey standing there. His posture was tall and proud. As if it would never falter.
“Hm? No…No.” You shook your head. Silently, you scooch over in your corner, your hand patting the empty spot beside you, ushering him to sit beside you.
You went way back with Tsu’tey, since you were little bubs playing around, causing a ruckus to every adult nearby. Your parents would often have to separate the pair of you at night because you didn’t want to stop playing.
When you became old enough to partake in your iknimaya [rite of passage] is when feelings started to shift within you. He started growing into his face, his body began to fill out, his voice started to get deeper. And younger you just couldn’t help yourself but fall in love.
Though those feelings were pushed down deep into the chasms of your heart when he started to court Sylwanin. It caused a great ache in your heart to see him be so happy with another, though how could you not be happy that your best friend had found love. Even if it hurt you in the process.
Tsu’tey sat next to you, his mass taking up a large portion on the small ledge. His arms softly brushing your arm the proximity. His beaded arm bands slightly tickling your skin.
“What are you doing out here?” His gaze fell on you, eyes sparkling in the moonlight. His voice was quiet in your ear. As if he wanted no one to hear but the two of you.
“It’s just quiet up here.” You don’t look to him, keeping your eyes set on the horizon in front of you.
“Ah I see.”
For awhile there was a pause of silence between the two of you. Slow and easy. Your breaths synced together, chests rising and falling. It was never uncomfortable with Tsu’tey. You truly believed the two of you could sit in silence for hours comfortably, never needing to exchange a word to feel the comfort in the space between.
“You are here often.”
You smiled. The soft flicker of your dampened feelings warming as you realise that he keeps notice of you. “Ah, are you stalking me Tsu’tey?”
He didn’t reply with words. A simple chuckle rolled off his lips, a deep rumble in his chest sending shivers up your arms.
“But yes. I am here when I can.”
Tsu’tey nods, moving his gaze from you to the skyline. He adjusted in his spot, hands shifting as his third finger softly laid against yours.
“You always did like to hide away up high.”
“Well, you always managed to find me.” The corner of his mouth lifted into a smile as he reminisced on old times, when things were simpler. When the clawing feelings of grief didn’t capture his entire essence.
There was a long beat of silence before you two began to talk again. The stretch of silence deepening into the sounds of the Pandorian night.
You weren’t sure what quite cracked your resolve. Was it the silence, the peace of the night. The way his hand had now moved to be full enclosing yours. The rhythmic drumming in your chest as your heart lurched out of your ribs.
“Tsu’tey…” You started soft and slow, swallowing your nerves in a gulp. “Do…Do you ever feel like the world is too loud?”
“Yes.” It was simple and honest. But it was all you needed.
You let out a shaky breath. “Sometimes, it feels as if the world is collapsing. And I cannot be the one to hold it up. That…now we are grown. I feel as if we are disappearing to our duties. That the loudness of the world will take me…and I will fade into the noise.”
His gaze moved back to you. Sharper, more focused. “You do not disappear easily.”
You let out a chuckle shaking your head. “Maybe…but I am not sure.”
You’re not too sure how it all came spilling out, as if you could not stop the movements of your tongue. “I never want to lose sight of you. I…I have lived a life of hiding myself in the shadows, in high places. And you have always been there to find me.”
You feel his hand tighten on yours.
“I…I am so happy that you are my friend, that even in these dark times you will be able to find me. Yet, I can’t help but be jealous that I yearn to be with you more.”
Tsu’tey’s breath falters for second. His eyes widening as he gazes at you.
The beat of silence makes the anxiety in your chest grow rapidly. As if your stomach was crawling up your throat. “Fuck. Did I say that out loud? Forget I said that. I’m serious.”’
Your peril puts a smirk on Tsu’tey’s face. “I will not forget.” You look up to meet his gaze almost instantaneously. And the sight you are meet with almost melts your heart.
His expression has morphed from startled and guarded to soft and gentle. His smile wide and unarmoured.
“You are speaking as if it is weak to yearn.” He pauses. “But it is not.”
Your breath hitched on your throat as he shifts closer. Close enough that his warm seeps into you.
“When the world grows loud and noisy…I find myself searching for quiet.” His eyes steady on your, his thumb rubbing small circles on the back of your hands.
“And I always find it here.” You swallow, your heart growing with every word.
“High above all the chaos” he adds. “Where you always have been.”
“Tsu’tey…” He hushes you. Because with you he didn’t have to shelter himself into being the listener.
He dips his head forward, softly resting against yours. An intimate touch, shivering down your spine.
“You will not yearn alone.” He stops, listening to the soft silence between you. “Not anymore.”
“Wherever you are. I will always find you.”

Tsu’tey was always a reserved man, never someone who openly displayed affection, at least, not for others to see. Known for his cold demeanor in the clan and never really minding that, Tsu’tey kept mostly to himself. That was until he fell for you.
The union between you two came gradually but swiftly, hidden in the unspoken words and lingering touches, like a precious gem that needed to be protected from the prying eyes. And Tsu’tey struggled deeply, because all throughout him courting you, all he wanted was to be consumed by you - to touch you as much as he could, to be immersed in your scent, to hear your voice and make you smile. But there was always the fear of scaring you away, so he contained it and locked it away, waiting patiently until the day you would be officially his - when you would truly choose him, the way that he had chosen you.
And when you did eventually mate, and the realization dawned that he no longer had to keep his heart caged, the love for you spilled out of him uncontrollably. His hands were eager to explore every inch of your being, lips trailing soft kisses all over your skin, as if etching the memory into his mind. So within the initial days after the blissful mating, both of you preferred to seek privacy, never leaving your home to enjoy the newfound connection. During these days, Tsu'tey became inseparable from you, clung to you like a second skin, obsessed with the way you were consuming all of his thoughts.
But as the day of reemerging into the public eye arrived, you suddenly felt intimidated by the idea of getting attention from the clan. Having already inherent innate insecurity, being openly with the chief added a new layer of complexity. After all, he was highly respected within the clan, and the standards for his chosen mate were high, casting a shadow of heavy expectation upon you. And as you returned to your communal duties now together, you attempted to make yourself small next to him, hoping that shrinking in his presence will keep you hidden from the eyes of the others. But his scent lingering on your skin announced the news of your mating loudly. You were naive to think that keeping a distance with Tsu’tey in public and minimizing the touches could be enough.
And while it was unfortunate that it didn’t work, what was worse was that it breathed a wave of insecurity into Tsu’tey. That perhaps, you didn't feel about him as strongly as he felt about you. At first, he tried to write it off to your reserved nature, thinking that you were probably just getting used to his affections, but the more you flinched whenever he tried to reach you, the more worrisome he grew.
As you sat together during the communal dinner, you were anxious, feeling as if you were being watched at all times.
“Yawne, you look… stressed,” Tsu’tey made an observation, reaching for your hand, which you instinctively pulled away from his grasp.
The surge of overwhelming emotions within Tsu'tey turned from pure desire and love to a perplexing mixture of confusion and pain. Even this slightest withdrawal in your response caused his heart to clench, piercing amber eyes searched for the reason behind your hesitance.
“Yawne?” he glared down at your hand now tucked between your thighs, as if trying to shield it from his own hand finding yours, “Are you ashamed of being with me?”
“No, of course I am not ashamed,” you shook your head firmly, surprise flickering in your eyes, “Why would I ever be ashamed of being with you?”
“I don’t know, Y/N,” Tsu’tey’s frown mirrored your own, as if it was a puzzle both of you desperately needed to solve, “Why do you pull away when I try to touch you?”
You shrank under his gaze, ears lowering in defeat or perhaps embarrassment, preparing for a vulnerable confession. Cautiously, you scanned the surrounding crowd to ensure no one was listening in. Tsu’tey reached for you once more, resting his hands over your shoulders, as if trying to snap you back into the conversation.
“It’s just… I don’t want to draw attention to us,” you bit your lip, wishing that you could take words back, “I know that everyone already thinks you are too good for me, so I don’t want to remind them of that.”
His expression softened, hands moving from your shoulders to gently cup your face.
“That is not true, no one thinks that,” his tone was serious, trying to convince you that he meant every single word he uttered, “And it shouldn’t matter, yawne. When it comes to you, I cannot hide my feelings. I have yearned for the moment to hold you and touch you ever since my eyes first laid on you. Please do not deny me that, yes?”
You nodded weakly, ears flattening against your skull in a mixture of embarrassment and flattery. Tsu’tey barely spoke more than a few words, especially when it came to his feelings. But he just wasn’t used to it, if he could, he would have screamed at the top of his lungs about how much he loved you. A mischievous smile then curved upon his lips as his mind raced with an idea to convey his affection to you openly, even without the need for spoken words.
A loud yelp escaped your lips, slicing through the air, as Tsu'tey unexpectedly scooped you up the ground and stood up, throwing you over his shoulder. It was so sudden, that your face almost collided with his back, and you had to frantically cling to his body to grip onto him. Your legs dangled helplessly in the air, desperately searching for the solid ground that had become too far away.
“Tsu’tey! Put me down!” you hissed angrily, swatting at his back, but he only chuckled.
The gesture, of course, drew the attention of the whole clan, and curious gazes fixated upon the scene unfolding before them. Annoyed by the unexpected display, you swatted at Tsu'tey again in an attempt to free yourself from his grasp. But instead of releasing you, he turned around dramatically and spoke loudly.
“Everyone, my beautiful mate and I will leave the dinner earlier tonight,” he announced, still holding you tightly, his hands gripping onto your thighs, “Please enjoy the rest of the evening without our presence.”
You could have sworn in that moment that you were probably turning purple from all of the embarrassment. Your heart raced, adrenaline rushing through your body, as Tsu’tey began to walk through the crowd with a snicker. Yet despite your expectations, there was no judgment in the looks you were receiving from the clan members. Still hanging upside down over his shoulder, you could see them only chuckling and nodding with smiles at the sight of Tsu’tey, always cold and unemotional, finally letting himself relax with his mate.
“Tsu’tey! Everyone’s staring,” you whispered shyly, as he continued to walk, carrying you effortlessly.
“Let them stare,” he chuckled weakly, delivering a soft smack to your bottom, making you gasp in shock, “They need to see the pure joy you bring into my life.”
You bit your lip in amusement, his words were clearly aligning with the reactions you were getting. Tsu'tey's carefree demeanor and the accepting murmurs of your clan members reassured you that your bond was something to celebrate, not hide.

tsu'tey on mother's day!
if there was one thing i did not enjoy about motherhood, it was the constant screaming and crying that accompanied it.
i jolted awake; hearing ri'antu sob for the third time this night. i was exhausted. my breasts were heavy and my head was throbbing. i just wanted to rest. while i was preparing myself to go look after him, tsu'tey knowingly held my hand. he looked into my eyes with a sympathetic expression, teeming with concern. he gave my hand a gentle squeeze and said, "take some rest, yawntutsyip" (darling). i went back to bed, and noticed tsu'tey consoling little rian'tu in his arms. in no time, the night filled with silence.
the next morning, i woke up later than usual, and was surprised to find a bouquet of sun lilies near my bedside. then, i saw tsu'tey approach, smiling, with his hands behind his back. he was clearly hiding something. "good morning, yawne" (beloved) he said. "good morning, what are you hiding?" i asked. "oh this? i made this for you" he said, presenting a beautifully intricate necklace, adorned with rare beads and flowers that took many moons to bloom. "tsu'tey! what is the occasion? did i forget something? oh i'm so sor-" "don't be sorry, it's mother's day! you're a mother now, mama. you're so beautiful" he smiled, showcasing his pearly whites.
i had completely forgotten this strange human tradition that jake introduced us to amidst the chaos that comes with being a mother. but now it all made sense.
"irayo, yawntu" (thank you, my love) i whispered, eyes welling up with tears. tsu'tey then gently brushed my hair aside and clasped the necklace shut onto my neck." he then embraced me from behind, while i sunk into his touch. it felt like all of my exhaustion wiped away. i felt at peace. "nga yawne lu oer" (i love you) he whispered tenderly, placing a kiss on my cheek. "nga yawne lu oer, tsu'tey"
"ooh, i wanna see what it looks like on me!" i exclaimed. "yes, let us go to the pond and take a look!" suddenly, my face dropped "but rian'tu.." "do not worry, today, rian'tu's with ma and pa. he's in safe hands." i was relieved, and followed tsu'tey out our marui. we ran to our ikrans, tails flicking at each other, giggling all the way. i felt like a naive teenager running around with my first love. i felt free.
we finally reached the pond and i looked at myself in the clear, glittering water. "tsu'tey, it's gorgeous!" my gaze trailed off to the reflection of my face and i couldn't help but notice just how weary i looked. my sunken eyes, my chapped lips, the bags under my eyes, my dishevelled hair... my thoughts were interrupted by tsu'tey's familiar yet calming voice saying the words i knew i needed to hear, "no, you're gorgeous, believe me" i smiled, my eyes reflecting deep gratitude.
"but 'tey, are you sure i deserve such kind treatment on mother's day? am i even a good mother?" i asked, with a dull tone. to that, tsutey's ears perked up and he came up to me, holding my hands in his, " trust me, you are a great mother. you care for our child so tenderly; i couldn't be more grateful for you. today, i wanted to remind you of the strength and beauty that you bring into our lives" i looked into tsu'tey's eyes; they were sincere and warm; and felt my own eyes water. he wiped my tears and said, "today, you are not a mother burdened by responsibilities, you are a strong woman deserving of leisure, love and appreciation." i hugged tsutey, nuzzling my face into his neck, overwhelmed by his thoughtful words.
"oel ngati kameie, y/n" (i see you) he whispered under his breath. "oel ngati kameie," i affirmed.

"Jake, stop tickling me, you skxawng [idiot, moron]!" You shout in between laughs as you try to swat his hands away from you.
You and Jake are sitting next to each during communal dinner, and as always both of you are talking, joking, and having a good time. You both have always been close knit, but with you being accepted in the clan and having to do hours worth of training together to learn the Omatikaya ways, it has brought you even closer than before.
As Tsu'tey talks to his hunter trainees about their performance today, he looks out the corner of his eye and can see Jake with his signature smirk on his lips as he stands behind you and lightly squeezes your shoulders. The calm expression that was on his face quickly washes away and a small growl erupts from his throat. Watching the smile on your face and the way Jake can make you laugh makes him envious of the bond you both have.
“I will be back,” is all Tsu’tey says before striding over to where you and Jake stand.
“Oh my goodness, Jake, stop, seriously!” The way Jake keeps telling you jokes, your sides begin to ache and your stomach starts to hurt.
As you look upwards, you can see Tsu’tey coming toward you. “What’s up, brother?” Jake says as he goes in to greet Tsu’tey.
“Move, demon!” He scoffs, shoving Jake out of his path and walks in front of you. When you notice Tsu’tey’s ears are flattened, you realize that he’s mad about something but you don’t know exactly what yet.
“Tsu’tey, what’s wrong?” You ask, concern lacing your tone.
“Come. Now.” By the deepness of his voice, you know that he means business, so you push yourself off the ground and begin following Tsu’tey to your shared mauri.
When both of you walk inside, you close the flap behind you and walk up towards him. “‘Tey, what’s bothering you? Why are you so upset?”
“Why are you and Jake so close?” He questions, straight to the point as his tail begins to move behind him. This question has been burning inside him for weeks. He’s been wanting to bring this matter up to you, but he didn’t want to seem like he was making a big deal out of nothing. Now it’s gotten to the point where he can’t bite his tongue any further.
“Me and Jake are friends, so that means we are close.”
“Well, I don’t like it.”
“Why not?” You ask with a raised brow. You know Jake and Tsu’tey have a sort of complicated friendship, but you also know that deep down, he likes Jake even though he isn’t fond of admitting it, so you can’t understand why he’s against both of you being friends now.
“The reason is unimportant.” He murmurs as he walks to the other side of the marui, now silently regretting even bringing up the topic. He had a reason, but admitting it was the tough part.
You follow his path, unallowing him to wiggle his way out of the conversation. “No, it is important if it’s making you so upset that you pull me away from dinner, so tell me the reason.” Tsu’tey doesn’t respond to you, he just continues walking as if your words are falling on deaf ears.
“What is it, Tsu’tey? Hm? Is it because we’re close or are you just jealous?” A small laugh comes behind the word ‘Jealous’ because you never thought your mate would ever be jealous of anyone, especially Jake, but when you see the way Tsu’tey’s body language change; how he stops in his tracks with his ears folding down to his skull, it all comes to pieces that your unknowingly suspicion of him being jealous is in fact true.
“Why are you getting jealous of Jake?” You ask him in a soft tone as you walk in front of him.
"Because he's clearly all over you, that's why!” His voice begins to escalate as a flashback reel races through his head of all the times he’s watched Jake touch you. In his mind, every touch was romantic, nothing about Jake’s touch seemed platonic in his eyes.
It all begins to make sense to you. You now understand why Tsu’tey seemed so irked with Jake’s presence lately. “Oeyä tìyawn [my love], I promise you’re the only man I want. Jake is a nice guy, but I don’t see that skxawng as anything else but a friend.” You grab his hand and gently place it against your chest. “My heart only beats for you Tsu’tey. No one else can make me feel the way you do.”
A warmth begins to swarm Tsu’tey’s chest as your words kiss his ears. He knew that your soul was forever linked with his and that you would never look at another man with a loving stare, but to have you reassure him that he is your one and only love makes his need to be jealous slowly fade away.
“I see you, y/n.” His voice is much softer, coated with an affectionate tone as he pulls you closer to him.
“I see you, ‘tey. I always will.”
I hope you enjoyed🩷!

Tsu’tey paced around the lab with a concerned look on his face, making Jake feel slightly dizzy. It was already chaotic enough with the kids running around and touching everything they weren’t supposed to, so Tsu’tey’s restlessness only added to Jake’s headache.
“Tsu’tey, for the love of God, can you please sit down?” he asked tiredly, running a hand through his hair.
Tsu’tey shot him an angry glare, but eventually complied and slowed his frenzied pacing. He sank onto an empty bed beside Jake, his eyes glazing over as he absentmindedly watched Lo’ak drag Kiri by her kuru, eliciting a high-pitched squeak from her. The bickering between the kids and Jake’s raised voice attempting to separate them faded into the background as Tsu’tey's mind raced with worry for you. Something wasn't right.
It had been two days since you decided to be a little adventurous and try some of the sky people's food, egged on by Jake. Tsu’tey had warned you to stay away from it, but as you disobeyed, you were suffering the consequences that same night, and the night after that. And it wasn’t going away, which made Tsu’tey grow increasingly frightened.
You had a restless night, tossing and turning with waves of nausea until you finally vomited early in the morning. Tsu’tey couldn’t help but snicker at you for not heeding his warnings, and lectured you about how nothing good came from the sky people and that you should have known better. But when the vomiting persisted into the next day, his amusement quickly washed away making place for worry. He insisted that you saw Tsahik, but despite her doubts, it was still too early to tell anything. So, when Jake suggested taking you to the lab, with no other options left, Tsu’tey reluctantly agreed. He didn’t trust it, but he was desperate to see you back on your feet and sleeping soundly beside him at night.
“Why are they taking her blood?” he asked protectively, as he glared through the glass window into the room where you were seated, your arm extended and a needle piercing your skin.
“To run a few tests, figure out what’s wrong,” Jake explained with a calm voice, placing a comforting hand on Tsu’tey’s shoulder, “Don’t worry about it, it’s normal.”
Tsu’tey hummed but it wasn’t like he could calm his nerves. Time seemed to drag on endlessly as they kept you in the back room, running test after test. And even seated next to Jake, Tsu’tey couldn’t stop tapping his foot in annoyance. His eyes wandered over to the three kids, Neteyam, Lo’ak, and Kiri, who were playing around with one of the large machines. They were pressing buttons that didn’t light up like on the other equipment, and Tsu’tey smiled weakly, assuming that it must not be working.
“Lo’ak, play nice,” Jake warned his youngest, then turned to look at Tsu’tey, “I swear, ever since he was born, I started finding gray hair all over my head.”
“At the rate he’s going, you’ll be back with Eywa in no time,” Tsu’tey joked for the first time in a day, “Give it a few more years.”
“Be careful what you wish for, buddy. If that happens, you'll have to step up and help Neytiri with the kids as their uncle,” Jake chuckled with an amused tone.
“Oh, don’t you worry about that,” Tsu’tey grinned, “I’ll make sure those little monsters learn how to hunt properly. Not the way their daddy taught them.”
Jake rolled his eyes, but the corners of his mouth turned up in amusement. Their banter was cut short when Norm walked into the room with a quick, “Good, you guys are still here.” Immediately, Tsu’tey rose to his feet, his ears and tail perked up in alert. Jake stood up too, eyeing the thick folder in Norm’s hands.
"What is wrong with her? Is she alright?" Tsu’tey asked with a frown, urging Norm to speak.
“Yes, she is alright, don’t worry," Norm answered calmly, bringing a slight relief to the two men, "We got her blood work back, ran some tests, and everything is normal."
“Where is she?”
“She's in the back room, taking a nap,” Norm shrugged, “She was exhausted, so we let her rest for a while.”
“Yes, she hasn’t slept for two nights,” Tsu’tey grumbled in annoyance.
“Was it food poisoning?” Jake interjected.
Norm tensed up slightly, biting the inside of his cheek, as if he was holding back information. Tsu’tey and Jake exchanged a look, waiting for Norm to continue.
“No, not food poisoning,” he finally answered, “But it’s better if she knows first.”
“Talk,” Tsu’tey ordered with a stern voice, not known to tolerate any ambiguity. Especially not when it concerned your health.
“I’ll have to talk to her, it’s kind of personal,” Norm said sheepishly.
“Spill it,” the man took a step closer, his tone intimidating. Jake rushed to step in between the two, placing a hand on Norm’s shoulder to defuse the tension.
“What is it, Norm?”
“Nothing’s wrong, it's just that I think she should be the first to know...” he trailed off.
“Oh,” Jake’s face lit up with realization, “Is she…?”
Norm nodded, backing away from Tsu’tey.
“What? What's going on?” Tsu’tey demanded, growing more agitated by the second.
“I think he means that Y/N is pregnant,” Jake said, grinning from ear to ear.
Tsu’tey looked in between them a few times, struggling to process the information. He turned to Norm again, pointing at the papers in his hands.
“You’re going to be a dad,” Jake chimed in, squeezing Tsu’tey’s shoulders with an encouragement.
Content with Norm’s answer that you were alright, Tsu’tey hardly registered anything else past that. The men stared at him in anticipation to say something, anything, about your pregnancy, but Tsu’tey remained silent, unable to form a coherent response.
“Well, aren’t you happy?” Jake nudged him.
“About what?”
“About Y/N being pregnant?” Jake let out a chuckle of disbelief.
Tsu’tey frowned, taking a seat on the bed again. His mind was in a whirlwind of thoughts at the news, chest tightening with anxiety of becoming a father. The distant screams of the Sully kids were like the high-pitched screeches of Toruk to his ears, only adding to the panic he felt. He was not ready to be responsible for a new life, and there were so many things to prepare.
Norm mumbled something about checking on you, and Jake nodded before taking a seat next to his friend. While it was unusual to see Tsu'tey so zoned out, Jake could understand how scary the thought might have seemed to him.
“Aren’t you happy? I’m sure you thought about having kids with Y/N before.”
“I have,” Tsu’tey confirmed with a nod.
“Then this shouldn't be as much of a surprise to you, right? I mean, if you didn’t hold back…” Jake teased with a knowing smile.
“You and your disgusting sky people talk,” he spat in annoyance.
“But seriously, man, it might seem scary but it’s actually not,” Jake gestured at his kids, who were now occupied with Grace’s old diary logs, “All you have to do is keep them fed and play with them a couple of times a day, and they’re happy. And once they stop breastfeeding, they might even notice that they have a dad too.”
Tsu’tey smiled at his words weakly, grateful for the reassurance. Sure, he was still anxious about messing it up and not being a good father, but he couldn’t help the excitement starting to bubble up in his chest.
“I mean, even my kids like you, so I think you’ll be a great dad, Tsu’tey,” Jake patted his shoulder with a toothy grin, “And Y/N will be a wonderful mother. Seriously, your kid would be lucky to have you two as parents.”
“Thank you, Jake Sully,” Tsu’tey stood up with a sparkle in his eyes, “I’ll go find her.”
