We haven't heard much, if anything, about Mallard other than he's blind but a very polite gentleman.

So, what's his story? Is he related to the Gresley family?

Mallard: Gordon, Scott and Spencer are my cousins... if that helps out a bit... Well I never really talk about my past as much to others, I guess it would not hurt to share-

Well- me and Spencer were like brother when we were younger.... until that night (The Gresley Incident) many of us changed that night..... that grief and guilt last forever..

when I began to work with my engine, it was kinda like a comfort I needed- It somehow made me feel less grief and guilt, and it may have caused me to be separated from my family for years until I lost my sight....

Terrified.... but I learned to come to terms with it.
