Everyday is a struggle for everyone whether is getting out of bed, getting some work done or even paying bills but my little guy struggles indefinitely. My little guy struggles aren't as easy as the ones mentioned like getting out of bed or working. His struggles are between him and the body he was given. Hundreds and hundreds of tumors on every possible organ... skin, brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, and a lot more basically ALL OF HIM! He has uncontrollable seizures but really his most noticeable struggle is just keeping up with everyone and everything around him. I sometimes watch and hear others or even myself complain about life but just recalling what my little guy has gone through and goes through reminds me I've got it easy and most people do to. Yesterday the family and I completed a walk to help find a cure for Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) a rare condition my youngest son Rocky has been battling against since his birth last year. TSC has basically given my son tumors pretty much everywhere including all vital organs like his brain, lungs, heart and even his largest organ his skin ohh yeah and seizures too. It's moments like yesterday that remind me that my family and I are not alone in helping our children live a happy a life as possible. As a parent you naturally want to protect your baby from suffering yet I can't protect him from TSC I can't take the suffering away. I can't imagine what he's gone through if I'm suffering this much just watching.
