The Tudor Project has officially begun, and my aim is creating/recolouring a series of gowns, headdresses and necklaces.
The Gablehood - Complete! Will share once I have created a Trumpet Sleeve Tudor gown (want to ensure the swatches don't need amending). The hood has been slightly edited, recoloured, and Tudor Ouches/Pearls added on the front. Two styles created, one version has a lappet clipped up (as seen in 1530's).
Anne of Cleves - One gown created, ready to be uploaded soon - I also intend on recolouring opalescence's 'Lovely Anne' gown. and just started on a Stickelchen headdress to go with the gown(s).
I finally finished this! It was originally meant to be a Tudor house, but I wanted a big country house for my 1920s story so it is styled much later.
Lots of cc, as usual. Thank you to cc creators who make building these historical houses so much easier. Essential cc is listed here:

There is so much cc that uploading trayfiles might be pointless... I can always update to include the tray without any cc if people would like it. Let me know!
Day 1 involves the women checking out Henry, then Henry scoping out the girls. Then, free will will commence.
At 7am the following morning, the woman with the lowest score will be going home... Hopefully with her head still on her shoulders!
All of the women bar Ann of Cleves heart fart over Henry.
Henry’s turn to scope the room.
All the girls get sparklies, except for Catherine of Aragon. Henry realllly likes Kathryn Howard!
Henry has three bolts with Kathryn Howard, two bolts with Bessie Blount and Katherine Parr, and one bolt with Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Ann of Cleves and Jane Seymour.
He realllly likes Kathryn!
Kathryn makes the first move of all the women, and gains Henry’s attention. He promptly grosses her out. (Yes, that is Henry VIII, King of Simland and Franksim, defender of the Faith and Lord of Iresimland, picking his nose!)
Lucky for him, Kathryn seems to like it!
So, being the elegant and charming man that he is, Henry then burps in Kathryn’s face!
I have no words!
Ann of Cleves then makes her move. Henry does not look particularly interested.
Ann quickly changes tact.
Ann: I really do like your hat, Your Grace, but I can imagine you look amazing in a crown...
Henry: +++
Henry then makes the first move with Anne Boleyn.
Henry: Well then, little lady... How do you like trinkets?
Anne: I can not be bought, Old Man!
Uhhh... Maybe not the best start to the challenge Anne?!
Anne: Is he watching me walk away? He’ll be back for more!
But Henry is still distracted by Kathryn and doesn’t give Anne another thought.
Bessie is decidedly uninterested in all of the events unfolding.
Meanwhile, Henry and Ann sit down to talk about crowns again.
Ann: I think a bronze crown would bring out the colour of your hair, Your Grace...
Henry: But don’t you think a crown with shiny gems would make my eyes sparkle?
Anne has decided a change of tact is necessary, and attempts to flatter Henry to get back in his good graces.
Henry: Yes, yes, I am terribly strong and handsome...
Anne’s trick seems to work!
Mousy Jane Seymour, who has been hanging back chatting to some of the other women, finally makes her move. Just take a look at that grin!
Jane: I really do think that your colour is green, Your Grace...
Kathryn: Obviously his colours are orange and red, you fool. Just look at his hair and clothing!
Henry: Red and orange you say? Yes, yes, they must be my colours. Brings out the sparkle in my eyes!
Jane: >/
Bessie finally stops standing alone with her hands on her hips and deigns to join in.
Bessie: Well, Your Grace, aren’t you a fine specimen of a man?!
Henry: The finest in the land, actually! Thanks for noticing!
Two mysterious nobles showed up at the English court of King Henry VIII. Some say they bore a striking resemblance to some Ancient Roman Statues, others tell of Norse myths about them. However, the truth is that they drank from a fountain of youth as young adults. And they’ve been wandering the earth ever since. But that’s a secret they can’t let get out.
The elder, James Semper (supposedly aged 21) has found favor as one of King Henry’s close friends and advisors. James is romantic, ambitious, good, and wants a soulmate. He’s even been granted the dukedom of Somerset. Of course, he must be careful with the advice he gives the king; the king is known to have a sharp temper.
The other, Alice Aeternum (supposedly aged 20) has become a lady in waiting for King Henry’s fourth wife, Anne of Cleves. She is romantic, outgoing, cheerful, and wants to be a friend of the world. She’s strikingly beautiful to the court, so she has many suitors. The king has even taken a liking to her, and some say she’s being considered as his fifth wife.
Of course, James and Alice are expected to get along. As some of the closest to the King, they’ve danced together at balls and parties quite a few times.
However, there’s something more there. James and Alice have a long history, spanning thousands of years and they’re still completely in love. But they know they can’t marry, as the king would consider that a betrayal. He might send both of them to the Tower of London where they’d meet a grim demise. So their relationship has to be kept a secret.
A quick kiss can always be exchanged in a quiet corridor though.

This is a collaboration between @timeless-simmin and I!
Dorsey Court is a Tudor Manor, built in Yorkshire in 1538. It features a large entrance, great hall, parlour, solar, kitchens, private chapel, library, bedrooms and gardens. It is decorated in a mid/late 16th C style, for a wealthy noble family.
I used a LOT of cc to create this house. Because of this, I have uploaded the house as a shell to the gallery. I will also upload this version but be warned - you need basically all of @zx-ta’s medieval cc, all the medieval creations by @thejim07 and the medieval pieces done by @historicalsimslife too. Some of the pictures and tapestries are my own personal recolours.
BUT, if you just want the shell, the only cc you will need is as follows:
- Tudor and Gothic sets by Felixandre
THAT’S IT! If you are struggling to find these, let me know and I can direct you to a download spot for them :)
As always, search on the gallery for this house by looking up simsthroughtime. You will need to have bb.moveobjects on before placing, and make sure to check the custom content box when you search for the house.
** Historical accuracy note: The private chapel is me indulging myself. Despite my desperate research to prove otherwise, most manors by this time did not have chapels attached. I just wanted it and it’s cute ok?!
