People have called you evil for years, may as well deem yourself the Mistress of ALL Evil.
Genevieve Powers as Maleficent.

"In another timeline, you'd have always been mine.
Best friend. Love of my life.
You'd have never known pain. Living a life most quiet and soft.
And now, I can only do my best to make up for all time lost."
** now that we've gotten that other guy up outta here, we gotta see what the game is going to do with these two (let them tell it, they're not together).
** I just wanted to do another set of photos before I take my focus off them now that I've at least gotten them to the fwb point lol.
here's two of my favorite songs off the lil' playlist I made for them.
POV : Best Partners Costume wins $1000 at the Newcrest PD Halloween Party.

Can't wait to get back into season 2.
Him mad. Him BIG mad.
Apparently, it's Carter's world and I'm not running it right so I got pulled into a meeting.
Full conversation could not be transcribed because the angry man was doing and saying too much during his lil' rant. Those angry moodlets on 1000 right now. Guess we'll learn why later.
All my pixels know, now, that even though I am the creator ... I don't have no real control over them lmao. Nahn one of them does what I actually want, and here comes Carter thinking I'm making changes behind his back.
Sir, you bombarded your way into the series. I mean, you were supposed to be a one-night stand but admittedly, I like a lil' mess so I let you lead things.
I'm just interpreting what's been happening with, to, and around you.
Dassit, dassall.
When you got rid of the 'competition' and thought popping up on your estranged husband in the middle of the night was gon' work out in your favor.
Didn't even check on your child (he will likely be taking full custody, 'cause this lady don't even flinch when Carleigh cries), just went looking for this man that hates you.
Carter's been cursing her out every time he sees her now.
_________
the backstory (and no, this does not excuse Carter from not telling Kaliah) :
While most people around Carter assumed he used his good looks to his advantage, all of his life, when it came to women; Carter was always a one-woman type of man.
He'd had a girlfriend or two in high school, of course, but once he met Nina DuPont, he happily took himself out 'the game' as all his friends called it. They were 20, both from extremely wealthy and established families, and madly in love.
Carter had always been warned about Nina and her ways, by his mother, by some of her family members, by friends, and more. But he did not care. He did not see what they saw. Not in the beginning.
Things were a bit rough. Naturally, they both had their own separate goals, but Nina wanted things that Carter simply did not care about. She wanted fame, glitz, glamour, attention. He wanted to work hard, spoil his wife, start a family, and live quietly.
As a child he'd asked his mother to pull and keep him out of the spotlight. By the time they'd married, Nina couldn't even sway him to allow The Del Sol Reporter (his family's magazine) to publish their wedding photos. Not because he was ashamed or wanted her hidden, he simply did not want his life in the public eye.
If anyone was asked to recall the last time they saw Carter in the press/media, they'd have to think long and hard. (It was most likely when Genevieve announced the birth of Kaseem, and Carter was about 13). Most often forget she even has an eldest son until she mentions him.
Nina, on the other hand, was raised by fame hungry parents who put no limit on the lengths they'd go to when trying to keep the DuPont name relevant. Failed actresses, poor excuses for entertainment lawyers, unsuccessful managers and talent scouts, poor tabloid darlings, and more. Even BAD press was good enough for the DuPonts. From the moment Nina, the first girl in decades, was born she was thrust in front of cameras. Made to dance and sing, turned into a child star before she could even formulate her own proper thoughts.
A good child star? Not at all. If her parents could pay her way into a movie (or in her mother's case, sleep with someone to get Nina a role) it would be done. And these actions were not kept away from Nina. She witnessed it all.
One would have thought that when she stumbled upon Carter and the Powers family, she'd leave behind her parents scheming ways. After all, according to her mother they are the big time. the name will get you whatever you want. The only sound advice she was given? Treat that man right, he'll give you the world.
Unfortunately for Nina, she did not have the talent or skill to match the new name. Her mother-in-law hated her, and her husband would not step into the spotlight to give her the nudge she craved.
While this caused a bit of tension, Carter was still a good husband. Even while building his career, he made time for Nina and provided her with whatever she asked for. Money was no problem; she could do as she pleased. When she couldn't get casted, he invested in a production company that gave her the ability to create whatever type of project she wanted. Got her the best team, invested in acting and writing classes for her, bought her a private studio for some of her smaller projects. Whatever she wanted and needed to make her dreams come true, he got it done.
It wasn't enough.
Finally, out of nowhere, Nina claimed she began to feel alone. As if Carter wasn't paying attention to her. She felt he no longer loved her, just tossed money her way.
Those feelings, of course, were bullshit. Excuses. And she used them as her reason for cheating. Not once, not twice, but five times. Carter was oblivious in the beginning, then things got a little weird.
She was a little too close to three people in particular.
Two of his cousins, and a man he'd considered to be his best friend since they were in diapers. Nina had been sleeping with them all behind Carter's back, feeding them lies that Carter was abusive and neglective.
There were two other men as well, but by the time Carter got fed up he didn't even care to find out who they were.
From the very beginning of their official separation (in their 30s), Nina refused to sign the divorce papers. She assumed that because Carter would come to her (drunk most often) that meant he wanted to work things out.
He went on to begin seeing other women. Never anything serious and never an official girlfriend, just a little fun when work got to be too much. Nina was always there, her hopes always up that he would take her back, but Carter would only drop in on her (late at night) when he was drunk and felt desperate enough.
Nina took this as his 'get back', his 'revenge' and she dealt with it because she was so sure he'd come to his senses sooner or later. They were approaching 40, and no man would want to be single at 40. She'd even go through the hassle of therapy, if he asked, if it meant they could fix their marriage.
She had never counted on Carter finding and falling in love with another woman. The type of woman he wished he'd met before her.
And now that Kaliah had been pushed out of the picture, Nina was not expecting Carter to still reject her the way that he was. Her plan didn't work. Whether she ever signs the papers now or not, Carter is done. And if she still wants to play the wife card for the media, she'd better accept that he is going to 'cheat' (assuming he ever gets over Kaliah) for the rest of their natural lives.
The big question : Did she get pregnant on purpose, after them trying for years in their 20s?
Yes.
Nina had always passed off their struggle to get pregnant as her having fertility issues. Carter even thought for a while that it was him. He'd gone to doctors, he was prepared to pay whatever amount for treatments, but Nina always brushed it off. "it'll happen if it's meant to, if not oh well." Truth was, she'd remained on birth control (even after telling him she wasn't on it), more concerned with not ruining her body or her 'career' with a baby.
When she found out about Kaliah and learned that Carter was getting serious about her, Nina began to plot. She got him, and it just so happened to be around the time he and Kaliah were making things official.
Protection was used, but a schemer gon' scheme (so I'll leave you all to imagine what she might have done to get her desired result).
Did Carter really not know?
No, he didn't know. He really did cut Nina off for good once he made things official with Kaliah. Should he have done so well before? Sure. But also, Kaliah barely gave that man the time of day in the beginning, he felt blessed enough by the initial one-nightstand lmao.
Nina intentionally chose to hide until it got close to time to promote her upcoming reality show. If he had continued to ignore her before she sent the text that started all his troubles, she planned to put him on blast on her featured episodes. (she still might do it, just a slightly different storyline now that he still doesn't want her.)
Does he deserve another chance?
EYE don't think so (& he also wasn't even supposed to be her man to begin with), but who knows ... somebody out there might feel sorry for him after reading this lil lore, lol.
Unfortunately for Carter, even with the best intentions, Kaliah does not do second chances (she'd still be with JiJi's abusive daddy if she did). The issue truly wouldn't have been that he was separated. She wouldn't have gotten serious with him, but she wouldn't have been upset either. He lied to her/never told her when he had plenty of chances. And for someone that struggles to trust (and he knew it was hard for her), he broke that and there's no going back or fixing it.
Sorry to that man.
