CHARACTER: The Countess

PLAYED BY: Lady Gaga

SHOW: American Horror Story (2011 - )

Elizabeth Johnson known as The Countess in the Hotel Cortez is a "Blood Virus" carrying individual. Just like a vampire she never ages, has great strength and is immune to diseases. She is beautiful, glamorous, seductive, aloof and enjoys all the finer things in life, a lifestyle she maintains by marrying very wealthy men and then killing them for their fortune.

Played perfectly by Lady Gaga, it earned her a Golden Globe win, The Countess is up there with some of the best antagonists from the AHS universe.

CHARACTER: Spike

PLAYED BY: James Marsters

SHOW: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003) Angel (1999-2004)

Ah Spike aka William the Bloody was one of the biggest bad guys on BTVS but became one of Buffy's biggest allies. He's look is inspired by Billy Idol, he is funny, moody, and so bloody gorgeous. How can you not love Spike? BTVS ended with his sacrifice, but returned in Angel (season 5)... that made me so happy!!!

CHARACTER: Darla

PLAYED BY: Julie Benz

SHOW: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003) Angel (1999-2004)

Darla is a very old vampire who was turned in the 17th century by The Master. Sire to Angel/Angelus, she is a very complex character. Sadistic, intelligent, selfish and very manipulative, Darla usually knows how to get what she wants. Originally killed by Angel in season 1 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she was later resurrected by Wolfram & Hart in season 1 of Angel and eventually teams up with another of My Favourite TV Characters Drusilla, and becomes a deadly double act.

Played by the beautiful and talented Julie Benz, Darla was a character I didn't know I needed and was so thankful she got to come back and wreak havoc one last time before making the ultimate sacrifice to save her and Angel's unborn son.

CHARACTER: John Mitchell

PLAYER BY: Aiden Turner

SHOW: Being Human (2008-2013)

This Irish vampire is over 100 years old, being turned during WWI. John Mitchell is a conflicted character, he is charismatic, personable and easy going, but under the surface he struggles with his vampirism. Not wanting to do harm after decades of brutal killing, his struggle with human blood is akin to an addict. He will do what he can to fight the urge to feed.

CHARACTER: Tara Thornton

SHOW: True Blood (2008-2014)

Tara, she is misunderstood, foul-mouthed, intelligent, beautiful, angry and her life before becoming a vampire was a shit show. From joining a maenad's cult to being kidnapped by a psychopathic vampire luck was not with her, until she got sired by Pam. Tara is definitely one of my favourite True Blood characters.
