hey i hope i’m not overstepping or anything, feel free to delete this if i am, but i just wanted to say i’m really sorry about your mom. i have a strained relationship with my mother as well and i know it can’t be easy dealing with that. kudos to you for reacting so calmly (though it makes me sad you had to learn to react like that) and im glad you don’t seem to be taking it personally (although you have every right to) and i hope things get better for you soon 💛💛

thank you for your kind words. i love my mom so much and while she’s not the best parent in a lot of ways she’s never said something like that before so i was really taken aback. she struggles with a lot of mental/chronic illnesses and is in the midst of a bipolar manic episode that started back on october.
this isnt the first manic episode i’ve seen her go though, the other one was back on 2013 when i was too young to really understand what was happening, but the only way she snapped out of it then was when he got herself in enough trouble to end up in jail where she got psychiatric help. she refuses to get help now so it seems to be a waiting game for something to happen but i thought she would have come back to herself by now but she hasn’t, so who knows how long it’ll be, but like you said, i hope it gets better soon too
