team rocket ✈️ airport headcanons/scenario ✈️

james is an experienced but very anxious flyer (planes are scarier than hot air balloons b/c he doesn't have control ok!!!). jessie absolutely loves flying, and meowth is ok with it as long as he's got his friends 🖤

jessie & meowth wake up the day of their flight to james' panicked screaming. turns out he set the alarm wrong and they overslept, now he's anxious and everyone's scrambling to get ready

meowth yells at jessie & james for taking so long to do their hair and makeup knowing that they're running late

james forgets to take off his belt at the security line and the tsa gives him a judgmental pat-down while jessie & meowth look on and laugh

but then another tsa person tells jessie that her shampoo & conditioner bottles are too large to be allowed on the flight. james has to (gently) restrain her & promise to buy her new haircare products when they land to keep her from taking the tsa worker's life on the spot

jessie and james run around the airport arguing about how to get to their gate. meowth keeps yelling something indistinctly as they walk around the airport. finally they notice meowth and ask what's up, just for him to say that they walked past the correct gate ten minutes ago asjdkssjdkd

when they (finally) get to the correct gate, james is stressed & exhausted. jessie spends the wait touching up her makeup and buying a gigantic iced coffee from a dunkin kiosk while meowth strikes up a conversation with folks sitting nearby. james tries to read a book to distract himself from everything

jessie buys james a snack to comfort him !!!!

jessie & meowth fight over the window seat. finally, jessie reminds him that he's a pokemon and therefore she can stuff him into a cat-carrier if he doesn't shut his big mouth. he grumpily climbs into the middle seat. meanwhile poor james is already buckled into the aisle seat and wrapped in a blanket

when the pre-flight safety movie comes on, jessie makes fun of the actor's outfit, meowth says he doesn't need safety info because cats always land on their feet, and james watches very carefully, taking mental notes on where the emergency exits are

jessie spends most of the flight staring out the window with wide eyes and a big smile

eventually jessie lets meowth climb onto her lap so he can see out the window too. she pretends to find this irritating but everyone knows she's pleased

jessie & meowth convince james to just watch a movie because by the time it ends their flight will almost be over. meowth helps him pick one out and jessie holds his hand <333

halfway through the flight, jessie orders drinks — a martini for herself (and another before too long), a white russian for james, and a doubleshot of bourbon for our boy meowth

meowth thinks the air hostess is hot, and after his doubleshot, he attempts to tell her. james stops him

when they land, the trio are all 3 sleepy and a little intoxicated. jessie looks for her things at the baggage claim for approximately one (1) millisecond, then approaches the customer service desk and insists that they lost her luggage. she threatens to sue/k!ll everyone who works for the airline, meowth posts up to fight by her side, but the situation is diffused when they see a (very) weary james walking back from the baggage claim, carrying all three of jessie's bags and shaking his head in exasperation

they uber to their hotel and immediately all collapse onto the bed in their room, falling asleep within minutes ❤️

this flight is relatively short but i definitely think on a longer flight they'd be falling asleep on each other before too long!!!!

I think that cheerleaders shouldn’t be allowed on planes because if a door opened midflight then all of their pompoms would get caught in the door, leading to all of the air on the plane being shredded.

Why is it that cars are the only mode of transportation that you cant use a literal phobia of as a reason not to use them.

You're afraid of planes? Ok, heres some meds, or you can just not fly.

Trains? Take a bus, walk, you dont HAVE to use a subway

Bikes? Motorcycles? Yeah those are pretty scary

Walking? Use one of the other options!

Horses? Nobody uses horses anyways so heres these other options

But if you're afraid of cars to the point that thinking about driving them makes you want to scream cry and vomit, then you're just being difficult and you have to get over it and you'll never learn to drive if you dont and if you dont learn to drive you have to depend on other people which is really just a nicer way of saying you'll probably end up in an abusive power dynamic with your friends/family/partners

The reason I been very quiet here and discord is because I am gonna get on a plane tomorrow, and this has been my biggest fear since I was small and the anxiety has been very bad...I am sure than once I am back home I will be more at ease and I will be drawing some more art and I will be active on discord again ^u^;

I promise I am not ignoring anyone it just hard to concentrate when you are about to face your biggest fear.

I’m terrified of flying, but whenever I hear that our pilot is a women, I immediately relax. Reverse sexism? Sense of kinship? Women are just objectively better at everything? Idk, I just feel really comfortable knowing that a bad ass lady is flying this plane.
