You're just pretending to be supportive. Can't you see you're not of any help to them?

“Don’t cry for me”
Twelve years. It had been twelve years since Angeal’s ‘death’ and ‘rebirth’ -not that he had really died in the first place-, and his return to Midgar.Twelve years since he had learned what had happened to Zack. His protégé. The little brother he never had.
Twelve years since he learned that the army had shot him to death on that exact same day, on that cliff overlooking Midgar. Where Buster was planted on the ground. Kicked, desecrated, moved to miss Gainsborough’s church and back to the cliff again. Where a certain Cloud Strife had carved Zack’s name on the flat of the blade. And right over Zack’s name was his own, written in those familiar smooth, flowing cursive letters. Genesis’ handwriting. Angeal had pressed his forehead on those two names and closed his eyesFor twelve years, Angeal had come to this cliff and placed a bouquet of daffodils and delphiniums on the ground, by the junction of metal and earth.
This year, though…It was a bit different. At first his throat had been dry and closed. He put it on the account of the nonstop running he had done from Midgar to this sepulcher. Then his eyes had burned and his vision had became blurry. Sand in in eyes. Yes. That was it. Then wetness was on his cheeks. The sun was bright in the skin and there was not a cloud in sight. But yet it was because it was raining. That was it.Eleven drops fell on the flowers by the blade. One for each year Angeal didn’t cry. Though there should have been a twelfth. Because Angeal didn’t cry this year either. Over the whistling of the wind, he heard something. At first he wasn’t sure what it was, but… After a moment, Angeal realized it was Zack’s voice softly calling his name.Don’t cry for me.That simple sentence brought the smile back on Angeal’s face. Made him remember all the good times he had spent with Zack. His little brother from another family.
“I’m not crying, Zack… I’m not crying,” he softly whispered in the wind. And Angeal walked away, returning to Midgar with his hands in his pockets and his head full of souvenirs.
