You know, it's funny. Whenever I think of season one, I think of Carley, Lilly, Larry, Katjaa, and Duck as major characters, while I consider Christa and Omid to be a little more minor. People who come in near the end.

Yet, thinking about it, Christa and Omid are in the game for about as much time as Carley or any of the others. Halfway through episode three, just as all of the others I've mentioned are gone. Maybe it's a form of bias I have towards characters that came earlier in the story rather than later. Similar to how I prefer season one and its characters in general more than any of the other seasons. Carley and Katjaa and everyone else are the characters we got to know first, so my mind ranks them as more important I guess.

That might also explain why, when I think of season one, I think of the first few episodes first and foremost instead of the latter ones. The drugstore, the motel, and the dairy, rather than anything in Savannah. Does anyone else experience this? Or do you consider the latter half of the season to be more iconic because of all the crazy events that happen there?

So, I just finished The Walking Dead the telltale series, and here are my thoughts...

Spoilers obviously ⚠️

- Clementine deserved so much better than the $hitty cards she was dealt. She lost her folks, her innocence watching several people die in front of her, and lost Lee! Please, tell me this little girl's life gets better.

- Kenny drove me nuts... but he came through in the end. (At least in my playthrough) He helped Lee get to Clem and sacrificed himself to save Christa

- I could not pronounce Kat or Christa's names to save my life. I kept messing them up.

- I kept calling Kenny by his son's name for some reason.

- I wish there was a way to save Duck and Kat, but I can't. I felt so bad for Kenny, man.

- Chuck was cool. Wish I could have saved him.

- Ben, you did a really dumb thing and got Kenny's family killed, but I understand you were just trying to help a friend. Your sacrifice was not in vain. 🫡 (I probably would have kicked you from the group if you had lived though. You were too much of a hazard to have around.)

- Larry was an a$s, but he didn't deserve to die like that. I still don't know if there was a way to save him or not. I tried giving him CPR, but Kenny crushed his head with a block before anything could happen, so... yeah. Not cool, Kenny.

- Lily, YOU KILLED CARLY, ON A HUNCH, THAT WAS WRONG! Ooh, if I see you again!

- Molly, I'm sorry I judged you. I thought you would turn traitor, but you came through in the end.

- Mr. Stranger, I'm sorry about your wife and kids, I actually felt bad for you... but then I saw your wife's zombified head in that bag and realized you were insane. So... now, I don't feel to bad.

- Lee's walking and cutting through the hoard was a cool as heck scene!

- Does cutting off Lee's arm slow down the infection at all or did I just lose the arm for no reason? I chose to cut off the arm.

- I really didn't want to have Clem shoot Lee, but my sibling said it's better than having Clem deal with zombie!Lee and it's probably for the better he never turns into one of those things.

- The post credit scene with Clem in the woods breaks my heart. She's alone now, but at least I think those silhouettes are Chista and Omid, so she'll be fine.

- 400 days was an awesome bonus! I loved exploring all these different people's stories. I kind of hope if Telltale ever makes a Season 6 of TWD, I hope it's basically like 400 days. A bunch of stories about random survivors trying to survive in this world.

Amazing game. 10/10 I see why this game is so highly praised.

I've never been a fan of the Walking Dead. My Dad watched the show when I was younger, but obviously, it terrified me, so I never got into it, but this game tempted me to look into the show or at least pick up that graphic novel my library has. I probably wouldn't get into the Walking Dead, but I will continue to play the Telltale Walking Dead games. They were fun. :)
