This is only a fraction of all the Dutch accents that exist, but I hope you like it either way. I tried to find the least terrible songs, but some are still cringy. Others, however, are quite nice. Enjoy :)

Twents/Surinaams - Jeffrey Spalburg - Hengelo (This is actually a song kinda making fun of the Twents accent, but the parts where they’re impersonating it are pretty damn accurate)

Rotterdams - Amazing stroopwafels - Rotterdam (This sounds only slightly Rotterdams, but the other songs were a no go)

Dutch accents: Twents/Sallands

I feel like making a series of phrases and words used in different Dutch accents, so here's the first post ^^ (My whole family comes from Twente/Salland, so this one's the easiest for me).

It was hard to stick to a certain theme, so these words/phrases are totally random.

Words:

Berre - bed

Bokse - pants

Eerappel - potato

Goan - to go

Hellig - angry

Krang - inside out

Noaberschap - the mindset that you should help your neighbours when they're in need of it.

Onmeunig - incredibly, very

Stoete - bread

Wichter - children

Phrases:

Goed te pas zijn - to feel good

Plat praten (you pronounce praten without the e: pratn) - to talk with an (Twents) accent

Verdan goan - to go on

Machtig mooi/slim/other adjective - very beautiful/smart/etc.

Nie wies - crazy

Wat ist? - what's the matter?

(Doe) heanig an - take it easy

Goa-j met (hen) brommers kiekn? - do you want to go and kiss (or have sex)?
