Twice Shy- a story of man suddenly discovering he has a daughter that he now has to take care of despite barely holding on himself and knowing nothing about what it takes to be a dad especially to someone you do not know. It is a narrative that lingers. Just staying with this relationship as it develops from an awkward encounter to something more. It is surprising low conflict as the typical pitfalls are simply not there. It is not until the final third where the hammer falls and when it does it is sudden and effective. However, it does have me wondering what exactly the point was exactly. Back to the old me!

I was feeling so angry and piseed off the whole time I walked home. I kept thinking that he had time to text his friend and all but chose not to text me. And I came to a conclusion that he really is a play boy. Good with his words and flirtation. 

I came to fully understand that we are both under willing circumstance. He is the first man I dated and thanks to him, I've learnt a lot and open up my eyes. I am certain and sure that I did not fall for him. I just feel empty and weird as the past 2 weeks, he made an effort and consistently texted me. So when he stopped, it just felt weird. It has become a temporary habit to receive his text daily. So I need to adjust and adapt back to the days when this has not even happened. 

Went online to search for articles related to/similar topics. And I read and understand it fully. Girls must carry on with their lives,enjoy the party and date with other people and go shopping with friends. Lives carry on as usual and he will text you when the time is right. We did not enter into an agreement that we have to text each other daily. He might find it a problem to do this daily. There is no rule that states that he needs to. No obligation. So I should not expect him or have the impression that he needs to text me daily. This just shows how much of his effort and sincerity. This tells.

I cannot believe this whole day I was feeling down and it was obvious to the extend that my colleague even asked. Yes. I felt so much better thinking through and reading the articles. I was so angry and make a fool out of myself. I will not be the first to text/initiated the conversation. Tricking and playing with an innocent girl who has no experience in this field. 

You idiot!! Thanks to that my heart and mind has never been so clear. I turned off my data before dinner and it has been switched to flight mode till tomorrow morning. 

I am NOT going to fall for it again. Am not going to waste my energy / day on you. I have plenty of opportunity and I welcome courtship. Why be down and pull a sad face when I can show people my true self and happy face. I will never know if my smile attracts my Mr.right.

Goodbye my first date. It was fun while it last. 

I am returning to my old self. Phew. I felt soooo much better. Seriously. I live and love myself. You are nobody to me and you have NO rights to interfere with my world!!!
