This is more or less a placeholder image, since I am lacking white acrylic paint so I added the highlights in PS and the photo is atrocious. A better scan will have to wait until I can fix the paint problem which might take some time since I do not have the money right now.

We’re a little less than one month away from the Wii U release of the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD! So I thought I’d share a theory regarding the iconic enemy of that game: Shadow Beasts.
*Warning: Heavy spoilers ahead for anyone unfamiliar with the game. Read on with discretion!*
In the course of events in the game, we find these strong, resilient beings are stealing the precious light of the Light Spirits in each province under the order of the Usurper King of Twilight, Zant. They are vaguely humanoid in appearance; built of dense shadow, with odd plated discs — actually shields — covering their faces completely. They are always found by our Hero in groups of three or more.
We know that, during the cutscene of Zant’s assault on Hyrule Castle, these creatures were his guard and first line, brutally bringing the Hylian soldiers to their knees. Much later, we find similar-yet-non-aggressive Shadow Beasts in the Twilight Realm, but they are revealed to be simply corrupted Twili under Zant’s dark influence. So we can surmise that all of the beasts are Twili, right?
But a peculiar note from Barnes, Kakariko’s expert bomb-maker, puts a more sinister spin on that notion. This is overheard during the first half of Link’s adventure in Eldin province, in Renaldo’s Sanctuary in Kakariko Village, when questing for the Tears of Light:
Oh yeah? I wonder if the monsters out there agree with you...
They sure didn't seem impressed by my bombs! How long do you think we can hold this sanctuary against beasts that strong, huh? Once they attack, it's OVER! Remember that lady from the general store? Just one of those things attacked her, and a whole gang from town went to save her! And what happened? She was already gone, and there were TWO monsters waitin'! ...You connectin' the dots? That means that if we get attacked by them, then we'll be...
He heavily implies that the shopkeeper, and other villagers, were changed into beasts by another. They’re not just transformed Twili: they’re also Hylians! That’s why they can grow in number so quickly: they’ve been growing their army every time they encounter some poor soul, all across Hyrule… and our Hero is obliterating them all. That’s a terrible fate, and it’s almost better our Hero stay ignorant of that fact, else he’d be overcome by guilt…
