Small rundown of what happened: before Jay managed to make a wish to reverse the timeline Yuli was shot dead by Nadakhan. When the timeline reversed both of them kept the memories of this event (I remember someone from Ninjago team mentioning that people that died during the events of s6 still had memories of what happened there)

After it was found out that Lloyd is going to be the green ninja Yuli suggested to replace him in the public eye until he's old enough to become a ninja himself

To conceal her identity she bleached her hair, binded her chest and wore contacts. She started using notebook to communicate with everyone, so that her voice wouldn't give her away.
