The Raven Cycle... oooooooh boy. hmmm. I really liked it.
The ending was super not memorable. Like, I don’t remember what actually happened re: finding Glendower. Like, pynch got together, Noah got ghosted by the story, and the others go on a road trip? But the quest? Major letdown. I dunno. Maybe slowing it down and spreading it out. Like, I know it’s all about the journey etc etc but it would be nice to remember how the quest actually turned out.
Not my idea, but Noah??? What??? Give him a good ending. A memorable ending. Closure. Happiness. Something??
Say the word bisexual, in reference to Adam. Even if it’s not him coming up with it / self identifying, then like Blue and Gansey talking and wondering or something? Or even Ronan wondering that. MOAR EXPLICIT REPRESENTATION!
Personally, I’d like more about Gansey’s panic attacks and trauma and healing and how he learned to deal with that. Like, we get a bit when Blue wonders why he’s had to learn to put his President Man face on so quickly, and a lot more with Henry and the bee robot, but like process/role model/relatability??? Yes please!
Change all the descriptions of the series/especially first book so it stops being focused on the boys. Stop making it sound like another “incomplete Mary Sue meets a cute boy and her life is magically changed forever.” I don’t care how much that is actually what happened, it’s a fucking awful way of framing it.
