✮ loves making fun of you and poking at you, especially if you’re the type to get really upset over it.

✮ in relation to the last one: whenever you cry, he laughs—not because he actually finds it funny, but because he just can’t control it.

✮ always insists that you dress up as minnie mouse while he goes as mickey for halloween, especially when you’re handing out candy together.

✮ the king of pda—he physically cannot resist keeping his hand in your back pocket or wrapping an arm around you in a chokehold while you’re out.

Daily Headcanons 04/19/2025

Newsies:

Canon Era: Specs loves to read whatever he can. He hates to steal, but sometimes he’ll swipe a book he found outside a store. Sometimes Romeo will ask Specs to read to him and Specs will always say yes. Those late night reading sessions sometimes end with cuddling and two tired newsies selling papes.

Modern Era: Albert frequently gets angry and overwhelmed in school. No one knows how to handle this except Race, who’s always there for his best friend. One day Race doesn’t show up to school and Albert shuts down. It’s like he’s not there and Elmer had to take him to Medda’s after school just so Race could help.

The Outsiders:

Canon Era: Two-Bit’s sister once showed up on the Curtis’ doorstep. Two was drunk and it was getting scary for her. Darry lets her in and gives her chocolate cake and milk. He knew Mrs. Matthews was working a double that night so Two’s sister saw a side of Darry most people didn’t. He sat in that damn chair his dad used to sit in. He told her stories that his mama used to tell him, and sang songs him and his dad used to sing on hunting trips. He would be damned if that little girl felt unsafe at her own home because of his friend.

Modern Era: Dally was at the Curtis’ when he heard about George Floyd. For the first time in his life Dallas was scared. Mrs. Curtis held him while he sobbed that night. Oh god was he scared. He didn’t go to Bucks. He didn’t leave the couch in the Curtis living room. He remembers when Mrs. Curtis had him go shopping with her. She made sure he was safe. She wondered how it looked, a 12 year old boy with dark skin hiding behind a woman with pale skin in fear. She didn’t care. Dally was her son no matter the color of his skin and she was gonna fight to make sure he felt safe.
