since the official fandub ends after Book 1, I went to see the Gameplay by LovesOfLauryn. I find Lauryn likeable and her commentary funny.

my thoughts on CHAPTER 2

Grim fell asleep during a lesson, but he did still better than Leona, who slept instead of going to class. I wonder why Leona skips classes? Could it be because he thinks that he knows the material already? Or because he doesn't want to study magic and is only at the school, because he doesn't know what else he wants to do?

I wonder if Ruggie assists Leona because he's such a good friend or because he gets paid for that. I think he does get paid, but also cares about Leona as a friend.

It's good that there is a lesson about blot, but why is it only for the protagonist group? I think, it would be important to know for all the students.

Why does Azul introduce himself at the housewarden meeting? I thought everyone there already knows him? Or is this a japanese conversation thing?

Leona could have just gotten Malleus out of the competition at this meeting by convincing the others to put him into the hall of fame instead. But he prefered to try to get him literally stomped to the curb.

What did Malleus and his dormmates even do, that Savanaclaw hates them that much? Perhaps they flaunted their previous Spelldrive victories, but getting that vengeful over that is way over the top.

And the part about injuring students from other dorms - Jack is 100% right when he says that a Savanaclaw win after that is unfair and fake.

I think as a further consequence, one of the players, who got hurt by Savanaclaw, should get their spot on the school team for the Interscholastics.

Talking about the school team - is Malleus not a member of it? Or is there someone at RSA, who can beat him at Spelldrive? Because RSA won in the past years... (I know, they say that in Book 3, but it fits well here, because the big topic is Spelldrive)

The way the investigation team is looking for the most likely next victim of the attacker without realizing it's Riddle. The attacker already tried once to hurt him, he's on his target list. And they let him go home alone.

Missing scene: I would have liked to see how Malleus reacts to this plot. I understand that he is a mystery to Yuu at this point of the story, but a flashback elsewhere would be nice. Is there one?

Weird overblot. The opportunity for character development for Leona was there, with the other guys giving some good input, that he could reflect about, but he didn't do that much. That's a shame and I think the reason why Book 2 is not that popular with the readers/watchers/players.

I like Leona, Jack and Ruggie, but I like the Heartslabyul characters more.

Bonus Idea: I think the Spelldrive Tournament, that Yuu misses in Canon, would be great for a fan event AU. The spots on the dorms' teams, that aren't already filled with canon characters could get filled with OCs. Then Ramshackle could have a proper Spelldrive team, too.
