So the reader is a harp seal merfolk in Octavinelle, but they haven’t been seen in their merform by anyone because harp seals live in colder waters and the water in Octavinelle is too warm for him. However, right before winter break, the water is cold enough for them. So he gets in the water, reveling their merform, and someone walks in (Housewarden) and sees how beautiful the merfolk looking in the water. (Male or gn reader please :] )

• Riddle comes to Octavinelle for a formal matter—perhaps to discuss rules around break protocol.
• He’s not expecting anyone in the pools, especially not you.
• The moment he sees your silvery-white tail glistening under the chilled water and your soft, seal-like features, he goes utterly silent.
• His ears flush red almost instantly, and he looks away so fast it’s like he’s been slapped.
• “Y-you should be more careful! Someone could’ve… seen—”
• Realizes he saw and looks scandalized at himself.
• But after the awkward stammering, his voice softens.
• “…You look wonderous, Yuu.” He clears his throat. “Just… don’t catch cold.”
Leona Kingscholar (Savanaclaw)
• He was just strolling through Octavinelle to dodge class.
• Hears the water shift and glances over lazily—
• Then stares.
• Your serene figure floating in the water, surrounded by icy mist, with shimmering fur and calm eyes? That’s not something you forget.
• He whistles under his breath, arms crossed.
• “So that’s your real form, huh? Kinda unfair, herbivore.”
• Leona lounges against a nearby rock and watches without shame.
• “I can see why you keep it secret. You’d have half the school droolin’.”
• He doesn’t flirt… not directly. But his tail flicking means he’s interested... (probably, idk men are confusing)
Azul Ashengrotto (Octavinelle)
• Azul comes down to check the temperature reports himself, thinking perhaps he can catch a glimpse if you feel safe enough.
• He’s not expecting to see you already in the water—completely transformed.
• He freezes in the doorway. All his carefully prepared lines? Gone.
• “…Yuu?” he breathes, almost reverently.
• The look on his face is pure awe, not businesslike at all.
• He takes a tentative step closer, hand to his chest. “I… never imagined a harp seal merfolk would be so—”
• Cuts himself off.
• “You’re… breathtaking,” he admits softly. “Thank you for trusting our waters enough.”
• Later offers to adjust the temperature for you whenever you want—no deal required.
Kalim Al-Asim (Scarabia)
• Kalim was excitedly delivering winter gifts to every dorm when he decides to give one to Azul and co.
• Bursts in with his usual cheer—
• Sees you.
• He STOPS mid-sentence. Mouth open. Present half-raised.
• “WOOOAAHH!! Yuu!! That’s you?! That’s so cool!”
• He immediately runs to the edge of the pool and starts asking a million questions.
• “Can I touch your tail? What do you eat? Can you sing??”
• His compliments are genuine and loud.
• “You look like a snow spirit!!”
• Absolutely begs you to come swimming during break. “We can make it a winter pool party!”
Vil Schoenheit (Pomefiore)
• Vil came down to Octavinelle to discuss potential joint winter break programs.
• Sees your merform by chance and—
• Stops.
• And just… stares.
• “Stunning,” he murmurs under his breath before you even notice him.
• Vil doesn’t approach immediately—he watches, almost professionally, as if analyzing lighting on a sculpture.
• Then he finally speaks:
• “You’ve been hiding a masterpiece under the surface, haven’t you, little seal?”
• He’s not flirty—he’s genuinely impressed.
• Vil asks to schedule a photoshoot someday. “Only if you’re comfortable. The world deserves to see that kind of beauty—but only on your terms.”
Idia Shroud (Ignihyde)
• He was dragged out of his dorm by Ortho, who said something weird was happening in the Octavinelle pool.
• Idia walks in with a hoodie over his head, muttering—
• Then he spots yuu in full merform, tail trailing like mist in the cold water.
• Cue: Error 404: Brain.exe stopped working.
• His hair turns bright pink instantly.
• “Wha—H-H-HUH?! NPC unlocked a rare skin??”
• He freaks out and tries to run but stumbles instead, making a splash.
• Yuu waves shyly. He turns into a puddle of panicked gamer-boy.
• Later DM’s you: u look like a mythic event-limited character… not that i was staring or anything… lol.
Malleus Draconia (Diasomnia)
• Malleus is walking the halls late, enjoying the coolness of approaching winter. He senses a presence and quietly follows the trail.
• He finds you in the water, glowing faintly in the moonlight from the glass ceiling.
• He halts completely. Eyes wide.
• Yuu, in this rare form, surrounded by snow-like shimmer and calm solitude… it’s a vision that would silence even a fae prince.
• He does not speak at first.
• Then gently, “…Child of Man. So this is what you’ve kept hidden beneath the waves.”
• His tone is reverent.
• “You look… at peace.” A small smile plays on his lips. “Would you allow me to stay a while?”
• He simply sits nearby in silence, appreciating your beauty like one might admire the stars.
