In the broadway musical of TLM, Ursula gets her nautilus shell from her father. I'd like to think Azul gets a necklace of his own from his mama.

Notes: I give octomers beak-like teeth. I HC that Azul would like to watch his mama get ready for her day. I feel he'd associate necklaces and jewelry with her and they go on to give him a sense of comfort because of it.

Maybe Malleus' pride is just him masking the very real fear that at the end of the day, he'll just be another black and white page in someone's textbook. Just "A powerful man who existed in this era." A name to write once in an exam paper and never again.

That he will never be a fond entry in someone's diary. His favorite flowers won't be held by anyone to their grave to remember him in the afterlife with. That upon his death, his tombstone would read "May his glory live on to the ends of history," and not "In memory of a life so beautifully lived, love so deeply shared, and spirit so deeply missed."

Since Malleus is 100% conscious in all of his projections in students' dreams, it's kinda both sad and pathetic that he's making a point of relieving this scene over and over again because he failed to show up for it in real life...

Instead of letting the students live their dream life on their own, he's steering the helm to make a mark in their lives somehow. So that they could remember him, instead of letting him fade with history like what's happening to him in real life...

His fear is not only losing the people he loves, but feeling so insignificant that nobody holds him dear enough to remember him.
