People are so fucking evil about vitiligo. Just saw a post about a man with vitiligo who was arrested recently, with a mugshot and very visible vitiligo on his face, and the comments were filled with people making the most disgusting jokes. Calling him a fallout ghoul, comparing him to burn victims as a joke (as if being a burn victim is a bad thing???), calling him the n word and calling him "strawberry and chocolate", saying hes a batman villain...

People like to pretend that people with vitiligo are accepted by society, that our disability is overall desirable in some way, and that's not true at all. The ableism people with vitiligo, especially dark skinned people with vitiligo, experience is constant!

thinking about ragatha and it's one thing to live in a wealthy family but it's another thing for the wealth to be garnered from farming [potentially ranching too? no clue] and it's A Connected Thing to be bound to live with your parents on the property that makes them and, by assosiation- her- money , and i can Only Assume that ragatha, a child-teen-adult still living with her parents, has been tasked with helping upkeep the farm, and those responsibilities have likely grown in intensity or severity as her mother's grown more reliant on treating ragatha as an asset to groom instead of.. idk a person who should be able to want a career or life that doesnt revolve around the family business.. anyway im sure ragatha enjoyed having money & being a rich farm girl & both her parents were sensible about sharing their finances with their daughter without strings [further food for thought. i hope she's not a only child. im worried she is]
