The only times John stayed the night was when he was not in the best of shape to catch a cab back to his penthouse. He usually was one to dip well before falling asleep. Still, it wasn’t the end of the world. After all, it wasn’t every night one fell into bed with royalty.  And Pagan’s hotel room was fancy as shit. 

Trying to be quiet as he gathered his things, the younger man heard the other’s voice, subtly gravelly with the early morning, “Round two?” It earned a quirk smirk from John’s lips as he stopped putting on his pants so they hung open on his hips. He nearly replied with a some of us have work but he pushed back those responsibilities for the prospect of another lay. What a way to start the day.

“Technically it would be round three,” he pointed out smartly before reaching to the bedside table to down the last large gulp of his glass of whiskey from the night before.

         this was all a distraction. not just him, but being in hong kong. the writing books about anything and everything that tickled his fancy. anything to put off the inevitable. he would have left within 24 hours had it not been for pagan who had been the first and only person he’d run into who could understand him. it was still just putting off the inevitable. his mind was somewhere else.

          when he did try to focus, he took the other man’s hand and pressed a long kiss. it pulled him out of his head at least for awhile. letting out a quiet groan, martin rolled over onto him in bed, moving in to press a lazy kiss to his jaw.
