The Diabolic by @sjkincaidbooks
Can I just say that no other series has absolutely r u i n e d me like The Diabolic has?? Because I sobbed right through the last two books and I would do it again. Man, what a ride it was.
ok so i’m reading The Empress and i’m almost done but tHERE ARE NOT ENOUGH PAGES LEFT TO RESOLVE ALL THE PROBLEMS I’M WORRIED
also Nemesis and Tyrus are such a power couple holy shit
If a book has a Prince/prince-like character who acts not so princely you can bet your arse that character is my fave
The Empress (The Diabolic, #2), S.J. Kincaid
3.5/5 stars I read the The Diabolic via audiobook and for The Empress I read a physical copy. I think when it comes to the series, I might enjoy it better as an audiobook. Regarding the plot, I had a sense of what was going to happen long before it actually did. However, I did like the character development. Looking back at Tyrus, Neveni and even characters like Sidonia and Anguish helped me see how far along this plot and these characters have come. A lot of change in this one. You're definitely thrown for a loop, lots of "unexpected" twist. By that, I mean I picked up on the foreshadowing, but I still thought they were good twists even if I could guess them. That being said, I like when I'm surprised. I did get a little frustrated with the characters and the pacing. Especially when you can guess what's going to happen, the frustration builds because you're just trying to get through. The book REALLY picks up in the last 40%. I mean, really. Lots of twists and turns and frantic-flipping-of-the-pages kind of action. I got some serious Maven from Red Queenfeels when I was reading this, specifically regarding one character in particular. I was happy to see Neveni and Anguish cross paths. Those are two characters I'd like to see more of... together. I think this series is really interesting and I find myself thinking about it sometimes. However, this book kind of took away my hopefulness. What I mean is that I'm worried when I read the next book I'm going to be able to guess everything. The way The Empress leaves us, I have a feeling at how this story is going to end. Hope I'm wrong!
Ok, I just gotta say, this is the BEST book I have EVER READ. Omg, I loved it so much!!!! After it ended, I cried because I wanted more! Ugh!! Please more! I honestly have nothing bad to say about it. I just love it.
I love my new URL but I wish there were more people on here that have read and also like The Diabolic, also lmao I need a new icon, it's me now and it seems weird, idk of what tho, this is nonsense. I want a mass of people to talk about Sidonia and Nemesis and Neveni and stuff about like damn, also, Sidonia Impyrean protection squad 2kforever I am spearheading this ship
