U-3PO was a 3PO-series protocol droid who served the Rebel Alliance aboard the Tantive IV. Originally working with the Alderaanian Diplomatic Corps, U-3PO was captured and reprogrammed to spy for the Empire, helping them locate the Rebel ship following their flight with the plans for the Death Star.

echoes of reality by jooka5000 Via Flickr: U-3PO droid seem to be lost in the desert. Again. And finally an addition to my toys album! I'm very happy way this turned out as this is all in-camera. There'a decent amount of realism, which makes this 3.75 inch action figure a bit more alive. I think, it also has a bit classic feel of the Original Trilogy, but that's just my two cents!
