Eridan is one of the most interesting characters in homestuck but the fandom vilified and flanderized him so much he's unrecognizable

Can’t that be framed as an argument for every character? My first introduction to Homestuck was Cascade and Octopimp’s voice-overs so it’s safe to say I knew the fandom versions of characters before I knew the actual comic characters. Aradia and Damara strike me as more intriguing personally.
