Have been tuning in here and there to Homeland, a show my husband and I used to watch together (it's very interesting.) I heard this ☝️ today. And I thought, "OMG, yes." ••••••• We often hold people to impossible standards. We hold ourselves to these standards, as well. But none of us came with a manual. And so really, the best we can hope for, the most we can expect, is someone that is heading in the right direction. Honestly, I've never met a single perfect person; not even remotely close. I cringe when I consider the tally of my own mistakes. BUT, from what I can tell, mistakes are completely unavoidable. Rather, it's what we do with them. Can we admit them, learn from them? That's the measure.
