Some Andrew, some Separatists of Saporia and some Cassandra
Please ignore their faces, the shading, their hands and just...... every other mistake in this piece (I trusted the process, sometimes the process isn't trustworthy). But do absorb the vibes of this piece.
Let me raise a discussion about a subject here. Andrew from Tangled The Series. This dude whose name wasn't actually Andrew it was Hubert
Is anyone going to make a post about this? I'm not here to problematize stuff, but girl 🫷 I found it very morally questionable the fact that he exchanged letters with a girl and made her "fall in love" with him just to get the Herz Der Sonne book. Is the book an important artifact? Yes. Did Cassandra manipulate him too? Yes. But in his mind, his plan was to manipulate a girl into falling in love with him, be sweet to her while they were together, even almost kiss her, to break her heart, steal the book... dude! It's just me who found this really cruel? And by the way, he looks older than her?? Even having the intention of kissing her, then betray her? Like- why would you want to kiss someone you're gonna discard anyway? Just for funsies? To enjoy the person's willing touch while they're unaware/oblivious to the fact that you're using them? You can argue that Cassandra was doing the same, but she already knew he was of bad character and was lying to her, so a heartbreak would serve more like a revenge, and still, knowing that Andrew was using her, she already knew he had no feelings for her either, that's why I don't see her as cruel to him. But ANDREW?? he was CRUEL cruel. How cruel man. At least Cass knew better. This was almost Kieran Valentine from Monster High level of cruel.
I'd also like to mention that there is kinda like, a subtext in their interactions, if you're willing to analyze it? Cassandra wanted to look dainty and delicate around him to give Andrew the impression that she was innocent and could do no harm, and this makes the situation look more ugly in Andrew's side, because he was manipulating and using a girl who he thought was cute and delicate. THIS IS EVIL (saying this with giggles). And Cass was fully playing into the character like "Yes uwu I am so cute. Kiss me. Give me the flower sweetie. I hope nothing bad happens to me. I'm just a sweet damsel uwu so pretty" *fluttering eyelashes blinking very slowly*
It's clearer that the reason she faked being cute and delicate was to keep him from seeing her as a threat, BUT I also find the implications a bit suspicious... because men usually like traditionally feminine girls :[ and she was acting like that exactly with the intention to make him like her....????? Idk..?????? Mix Cass trying to look more traditionally feminine (she's not) to attract a man who thinks she is actually a delicate inofensive girl and still choses to betray her and manipulate her...???? The implications are idk... it gives me weird vibes huh??? That's like a bit [sexist and gender roles and weird grooming men] weird?.... what? did anyone heard that voice?... I thought someone said something.... what was that
isn't that... isn't that like...
isn't that like.... um........ weird???
About the kiss: I personally, alternatively think, or headcanon at least, that maybe Cassandra already predicted and calculated that the balloon would hit the floor just before the kiss to interrupt it, so that she wouldn't have to actually kiss Andrew, just do enough to give him the impression that she wanted to, or else, if she was really interested, they would have kissed after they were out of the baloon. But idk. Maybe she did wanted to kiss just for funsies too, I don't exclude that idea. In the end of the episode she kept the flower Andrew gave her even though she knew he was a liar and everything... I personally think this is due to her validation issues and held tight to that gift even though the whole thing was a lie and the guy was faking and whatever, in her memory the moment was fun at least. But idk. I mean, good for Cass that she got revenge for Andrew manipulating her. I find it amusing when these weird guys end up drinking their own poison.
No hate to my girl Cassandra. It's not because I'm biased, it's because women usually have to play into these roles and stuff, she knows how the world works and not just how delicate girls are seen less as a threat but also men are more receptive towards them, the weird one here is Andrew 🔪 like wdym Andrew, Hubert, dude. What is that. Were you willing to manipulate and use a girl who you imagined to be oblivious/innocent? Kiss her? Break her heart? Your name is in my list. Red flag. 🚩
I would give anything to see the letters Cassandra wrote to him LMAO
