#underworks binders

Hey guys! I (afab, he/they) am looking into binders with international shipping. My country doesn't have that many local options, and i'm on the larger chest side (for reference it was 44-DD when I used to wear bras😅) so it's been a bit of a nightmare to find proper binders that work on me.

I'm open to recommendations, as well as advise on how to chose the proper size. I was inclined towards ordering from Underworks but now I have mixed feelings and don't know what to do anymore.

The fabric is a bit stiff, I didn't think this was my size for a second until I pulled it on and boom.. flat chest..

My clothes look extra baggy and I can finally look at my body and register it properly, like I was confused about what was a product of what, what was making me insecure?

Maybe save Grandma’s christmas money for the binders and put the rest in my tip jar to save up for that tattoo I want.

Hey there, just received my first Underworks binder (997), it fits perfect BUT it goes to my mid thigh and I can’t stand that. Can I trim it like a couple inches or should I wait until I can get it hemmed at a seamstress or something? Alternative ideas are welcome, I’m just really anxious to wear is and it feels super weird under my jeans at that length.

One unfortunate thing with the 997 is that for us short torso-d guys, they run suuuper long. You can cut it, however I would suggest looking into sewing it asap so that it doesn’t fray and you lose the binding purpose. Specially if it is on the tighter side (rather than being looser). Some guys have good luck with it, other not so much.

Any experiences with this are welcome!

i want to get my first binder (a full-length/compression shirt type) and the hip trimmer briefs from underworks, but i remembered binders can cause you to sweat a bit if they're not designed to wick away sweat, which i'd definitely prefer since i easily get hot and sweaty especially since i wanna bind a bit whenever i go on vacation this summer. are underworks' binders designed to breathe well and keep cool? (i'm pretty sure they are but i'm not 100%) any other tips on how to stay dry and cool?

i’ve never owned an underworks binder, so i’m posting this and encouraging our readers to write in with their experiences!

you might also want to give this article on binding safely during the warmer months a read.

in general, listen to your body, and take care of yourself. if you feel like you’re overheating, it’s not safe to be binding.  as always, remember that it’s not safe to compress your chest while exercising.

Oooooooh guys guys guys guys i figured out how to put on my gc2b binder on correctly and omfg git works so fucking well guys. i’mma do a comparison that i just took pictures of. give me a few minutes.

hi i'm just asking for some help with binders!! i was taking my measurements for an underworks binder and i'm right in the middle between sizes small and medium, with one inch off medium. i don't know if its better to go for a small size despite being on the larger end or a medium size on the smaller end. is it better to get a smaller binder or a medium one?? i wasn't too sure where else to ask. thanks!!

When I ordered from Underworks the first time, my chest size was an inch or so too small for the extra-small. I ordered it anyways and it fit perfectly. If you're only an inch away from the medium, that's what I'd go for as it will probably be safer and more forgiving for your body.

so the underworks 988 binder is supposed to be like super good, yeah? 'cause I've been wearing the... 997 I think for years, and it's SO HOT and SO UNCOMFORTABLE that the idea of a half-length binder really sounds nice. @__@ and I'm pretty square-shaped so hips and waist aren't a real issue.

is it really really good at flattening??
