This is a Paramecium

It's a single-celled organism known as a Cilliate, due to the cillia covering its membrane by which it moves

They are predatory organisms, feeding on other protists and bacteria. They don't engulf their prey like an amoeba or anything; they just have a mouth (called a cytostome) that leads into a food vacuole, which is basically a stomach

This stomach fills with acid and enzymes just like an animal stomach. The only real distinction being that when the stomach on the mouth is full it closes off and starts floating about their cytoplasm, with a new food vacuole growing at the mouth

But what happens when the food in the stomach is digested? Well they just take a poop out of their anus

So I had an idea.

Everyone's making furry characters based 90% on mammals, then there are birdsonas, scalies, fishsonas and even bugsonas were a trend on Twitter for a while.

Idk if I've seen an anthro oc based on a microorganism, and if yes, these are extremely rare. So what about doing some mitosis and increase the number of microsonas?

Aight, time for a Gaud Theory

@biggest-gaudiest-patronuses​ is a xenophyophore. Aka, one of the largest single-celled (though multi-nucleic) organisms. Here’s the proof:

From the Abyss- xenophyophores live in the deepest parts of the ocean. Gaud knows too much about the terrible things down there, and rightly fears them. xenophyophores are fragile, so if one were cursed with sentience, they would likely have anxiety as well.

Slimy- Gaud is slimy. Xenophyophores secrete slime when they feed.

Hard to define, but definitely not normal- Xenophyophores have a history of switching between classification as foraminifera or sponges. The classification of it’s clades is.. murky. I am no biologist, but a fallible creature. And Gaud cannot be defined. They are Gaud. 

Color- Xenophyophores are not pink. Normally. They construct their exoskeletons, or “tests,” out of sediments, and show a light color. Gaud is pink, which would normally disqualify this theory. But white, mixed with red, is pink. And I have a feeling Gaud hasn’t been just a detrivore for a long, long time.

The actinophryids are an order of heliozoa. They are the most common heliozoa in fresh water and can also be found in marine and soil habitats. Actinophryids are unicellular and roughly spherical in shape, with many axopodia that radiate outward from the cell body. Axopodia are a type of pseudopodia that are supported by hundreds of microtubules arranged in a needle-like internal structure.
