Today's September 20th task for #jcfseptember is to share a #UniqueCharacter. I finished Magic Dreams by Ilona Andrews in the Hexed anthology over an hour ago, at just after 11:05p on September 19th. I love this story because it features Dali, a UNIQUE white tiger who is a vegetarian and throws up at the sight of blood. She's also VERY klutzy, and experiences short-term memory loss every time she shifts into her tiger self. Plus, as if all of the above is not enough, she's a cross-eyed tiger when she first shifts. 😄😉😍❤ . . . . I also love Jim in this story. He's a werejaguar and Alpha of the Cat Clan. 😍❤ . . . . And the villain in this story is pretty unique, too. She's a Jorõgumo (also known as a whore spider *shudder*). When she appears in this story, I switch my hands so that they're holding the book by the margins. I absolutely, positively refuse to touch the text when it includes huge spiders. No sirree Bob, no touchee for me. 😨😨😨😨😨 . . . . As it's now 12:33a on September 20th, I'm going to try for sleep. Because Magic Slays, Kate Daniels Book Five, is next and it's one of my top two favorite books in this series. If I start it now, I might have to read it through its end. That wouldn't be so bad, except that I have to take Max to the vet "tomorrow" [later today] so I need sleep. Please say a prayer or make a wish for me. I'd like to sleep withOUT having one of my "phantom spider" nightmares. 😕 . . . .
