I'm so curious, queer people for whom English is not their first language and/or who didn't grow up in a majoritarily English speaking place, what is your relationship to the word queer?

#ive been aware that word exists since i was like 13?#growing up tho as it started being used in Quebec i did hear it in a negative way #not that much because its an english word that i mostly see being used by queer people and not cishets #unless its like #corporations deciding they have the right to use that word to talk about us but thats another conversation #anyways!#would love to know what are other peoples experience with queer as a word that isnt part of your native language?

I just think it's useless and primitive when magic is easily accessible and blades are more commonplace in the culture

Also with that said I think adding guns would severely limit the kind of creativity I could put in a fight scene, I don't want someone like Cryptor to just pop a laser at your head I want him to like, actually run up on your ass it's just more intimidating to me

I debated adding guns given some history with them in real life eastern culture but just decided it wouldn't add anything to the au unless I wanted the ninja to get into the implications and politics of that
