Theories Time!

Why the Shirai-Ryu is always terminated in every timeline?

I will give 6 theories to this, they may seem impossible to believe but, that’s what theories are! I brainstormed my brain for these theories especially!

So let’s start with the first theory. It seems very very weak but let’s hear it out!

1-(Related to the fire god) Rate:30%

Shirai-Ryu is related to the fire god of Earthrealm. In Mk mythologies Subzero, they stated that other gods are protecting Earthrealm. Fire, earth, and water. One of them is fire and it is connected with everything that is fire-form. And Shirai-Ryu colours are black, yellow, and orange. Related to the fire-colours theme and stuff. Tbh, everything about the Shirai-Ryu is related to fire. Even the gardens! They are called “the fire gardens” it has fiery-orange leaves and plants! coincidence? I don’t think so! So the theory is. Shirai-Ryu is strong and they are related to the fire god of Earthrealm. If they aren’t terminated they will be a force to reckon with.

Quan chi knew about this and he wanted a strong, loyal slave and that is Hanzo Hasashi. He knew that Hanzo has a connection to fire, So, he killed him and terminated the clan with the help of their enemy the “Lin-Kuei”. And recruited Hanzo to be his slave. Decades later Hanzo knew about this and plotted vengeance against those who killed his family. Not just Quan chi who wanted Hanzo’s clan and family termination It was also Shinnok, Kronika, Cetrion, and the Titans! Which means there is a reason we don’t know! Now! Tell me why Kronika and the Titans want a family, or clan to be terminated. It is either of two either they are very powerful if given time to develop. Or they are related to someone who is powerful hint: the fire god!

Note: TBH the Titans involved in this baffles me.🤦🏻‍♀️But I’m willing to go with it. That is the first theory! Now let’s move to the second one!

2-(A prophecy of fall), Rate: 20%

This… is hard to believe but bear with me!

After Takeda escapes the Lin-Kuei to form a clan in his homeland Japan. A lot of the lords admired this idea and started to join the Shirai-Ryu. The Shirai-Ryu now has more students, and new techniques were made by Takeda a former Lin-Kuei. And more masters of martial arts. The Lin-Kuei is scared and mad because of this, So they asked Quan Chi. An infamous necromancer to help them, In return, Takeda made a deal with a sorcerer, Takeda Or the sorcerer broke the deal and told him of a prophecy about the fall of the Shirai-Ryu, Takeda didn’t know what to do about this. He was so deep in thought that he wasn’t aware of the poisoned tea, that was served to him. And he died by drinking poisoned tea.

3-(The Lin-Kuei’s revenge) Rate:100%

TBH, this isn’t a theory! this is what happened according to the lore.

The Shirai-Ryu came after Takeda an ex-Lin-Kuei escaped from China and returned to his homeland Japan to create a clan equal and strong to the Lin-Kuei. the Lin-Kuei have an enemy now. It is known that the stronger and the older clan will target the newly made Shirai-Ryu and plot its demise. The Shirai-Ryu grows bigger and Takeda developed the art of ninjutsu. He even offered his services to the generals and the lords of japan.

The Lin-Kuei made a pact with the infamous necromancer Quan chi. If they retrieved the amulet, Quan chi would destroy their enemy. And that happened as we know it.

4-(A Revenge for the fallen elder god Shinnok) 40%

Back to the Titans again! Remember when Raiden said Shinnok tried to conquer Earthrealm once in the past? Yes, One of the Shirai-Ryu ancestors helped Raiden to fight Shinnok and they won over Shinnok. Kronika promised revenge on all those who fought against her son and won. Kronika is driven by Vengeance What Raiden said, (what drives Kronika isn’t vengeance is BS) she is capable of feeling such emotions. Even Shinnok himself is bitter and angry! Her son is a proof! So, What happened is more than the Lin-Kuei's involvement in the massacre of the Shirai-Ryu. It’s much deeper and darker too. This is a strong motivation for Quan Chi to be involved. After all, He is Shinnok servant. Yes, I would say this is personal for them to attack the Shirai-Ryu only, leaving The Lin-Kuei alone.

5-(simply, prone to destruction) 100%

It’s safe to say that they are doomed to destruction as always, as in every timeline. The reason is unknown. However, I can guess! But there is nothing special about the Shirai-Ryu other than the fact that they are Lin-Kuei enemies and their founder is a former Lin-Kuei member! Sometimes, I have this feeling. That, the creator of MK. Just wants them to suffer, to be alive only for a few years then, boom! They are dead now. I think the reason they exist is only to benefit Hanzo/Scorpion's background. That's it! Don’t hate me okay? 😁.

6- (a curse befell them) rate:0.1% very very weak and unlikely to be the reason.

I have this theory. Where, One of the Shirai-Ryu elders mocked the Elder Gods/Gods, and that man is a blasphemer, In return, the Elder gods cursed them all. With pure destruction that erased all their bloodlines. Due to a man's actions, They are all doomed. TBH my only proof in this theory, is Where Hanzo says to Raiden (I worship no gods) in a quote-round, Search it up!
