Unsupportive
While on a delivery yesterday-
before I got a flat;
my order was unassigned.
I had just received it
and pulled into a parking lot to turn around-
as I was headed in the wrong direction.
As I waited to turn, I glanced at my phone
to view the directions.
The navigation screen was gone.
I was back to the waiting screen
with a message that congratulated
me on being a gold status Dasher.
I was not gold before that.
I was platinum before I accepted that order
and gold after I was unassigned.
I pulled into a spot in that parking lot
and began to talk to support.
I told him what happened.
He said he looked into it
and that I was unassigned.
I asked him why I was unassigned
and why did it affect my rating?
He told me not to worry about it.
He said he put a note about it in the system.
I asked him again.
He told me I will be sent an email
explaining everything.
That satisfied my curiosity.
Okay, thank you
He told me not to worry again
and to dash as usual.
I told him it's my livelihood-
I will absolutely worry about it.
I checked my email shortly after
existing the support chat.
My email from doordash
explained what I already knew.
It went into detail about the rating system works
and what can cause it to lower.
Nothing about how I was mysteriously
unassigned and lowered a whole tier after it.
It's been a whole day-
I am still gold status.
