Paz Vizla may or may not be dead. [chapter 1]

Paz Vizsla was being dragged, half unconscious, across the grated floor of the Imperial base. The two remaining hut’uune pulled him along by his bindings, never letting him get to his feet. Their armour reminded him of just how many Mando’ade those Imperial demagolkase would kill today, plasteel coated red with the blood of his people.

Paz ground his teeth at the thought of his armour being scraped on the uneven metal grating that made up the hallways leading to the med-bay, it was all he could do to stave off the worry for his son and vode. 

He remembered exactly how Gideon said it. The words rang crystal clear inside his buy’ce. He replayed it over in his mind, unable to shake the guilt from his conscience.

“Take him to the med bay, I want him in one piece and conscious enough to understand that everything and everyone he has ever loved is dead or dying.”  Gideon turned towards Paz, staring into his vizor as if he could see through the opaque black plasteel that separated Paz from the Moff.

“Understand this Mandalorian, I will murder everyone you tried to protect, I will blow your civilian ships from the sky, and I will make you watch every minute.” Gideon had grinned, teeth stained with the flesh of every Mando’ad that had come before Paz. With that, Gideon had bent down, and pulled Paz’s helmet from his head.

It was all Paz could do, not to cringe at the thought. His face was bare, and the man looking down on him was not his son, not his riduur, but Imperial scum. 

It had happened before, when the Praetorians had tied him down and gagged him, not even giving him the right to pray. But it was different then, because they had not taunted him, had not committed atrocities towards his culture and people, they were hired killers, and that was it.

There was no going back.

His reply was hoarse, pained, and spiteful. Backed by fury and a pure, unchallenged hatred for the genocidal monster that stood before him.

Paz turned away, scraping his bare cheek against his pauldron, gag slipping loose. He spat at the feet of the myth who killed his planet, the monster who killed his covert, and the man who threatened his son.

With that, Gideon kicked him hard in the ribs, and ordered his red shabuire to take Paz away, instructing them to drag him off to the med-bay in the heart of the base, where he would have a prime view of the slaughter.

A Wild Mun ONCE AGAIN Appears!( Revamp Notice)

SO good news I’m not dead and am very much alive. I’ll be honest, last time I was here the Castlevania fandom was pretty dead and I didn’t really feel welcome here anymore. And yes I was  heavily debating deletion because I wasn’t getting much rp’s here and no matter what I did it didn’t seem like it mattered in the end. But thankfully Netflix announced the Castlevania anime and I was stoked. I’m hyped for it and ever since the news of that spread my friend tells me the fandom is coming to life again which is honestly good to hear. I was pretty close to deleting but in the end the announcement gave me hope for the fandom again. So once again I’m gonna try to get Alucard back to work as a muse. Though due to me abandoning this blog I have to revamp and change a few things.

I finally did a thing!

Actually, I did several things. With the jet skis basically parked for the year, and horse show season done, I've been able to pick up books again.

I finally finished A Day of Fallen Night. Oof, that was a slog. It's a good book, don't get me wrong, but more than once I found myself saying, "I don't caaaare," as the author just went on and on. All of the action happens in the last 200 pages of a 900 page book.

After that everything has felt like a total blip. I've been watching True Blood, so I read the first book in the Sookie Stackhouse series, Dead Until Dark. The first season of the show is following the book almost exactly, although I have heard it very much goes off the rails after that, as shows often do.

Finally, I just finished re-reading A Court of Thorns and Roses, and I'm going to see if I can finally finish this series. I feel like such an idiot that I didn't see it when I was doing my first read through, and everybody is probably rolling their eyes at me that I am just seeing this now, but I can’t believe that I totally missed that this book is literally just a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It’s an enjoyable retelling, but still it’s definitely a retelling.

I also finally rolled the credits on a game, something I haven’t done in a long time. I finished up Horizon Zero Dawn. Somehow it managed to run better on my Steam Deck, or at least look nicer on the Deck than it did on my computer. I am just so in love with my Deck in so many ways. The game left me scratching my head on several things. There were some breadcrumbs that they put out and then never came back to them, and some reading between the lines that they expected. Also, if you want to play a game to not have to read a book, well, a lot of the lore of this game is found by reading things you find around the world. Some of them several paragraphs long. Before I start on Forbidden West, I plan to take a break and play Stray. It’s a game that’s been in my backlog for a while, and from what I understand is fairly short. Should be a good palate cleanse before I dive back into a 90 hour game.

OH GODS WHY IS THE NEW YEAR SO CLOSE

Sorry, my schedule has been busy with the end of the year stuff, taking care of my own emotions, and prepping for next year.

I have been trying to focus between three different hobbies and it has been quite the challenge. This one lost out a bit more but I think it is the most interesting of the three so I'm going to try and stick with it.

I have also been attempting to learn piano on top of learning Japanese. Absolute nightmare of time management but I am setting myself up for success for next year so wash the fridge out beaches!

I'm going to put some time in on Saturday for working on the dating sim side of things. I have a slight story but I need to work on the script.

I think for this initial draft I will just be using a word editor, then transferring it to Twine. Which should be just fine for a dating game.

Anywho let's talk again this Sunday, wait that's New Years Eve. Ehh fuck it I'll post Saturday
