Just letting y'all know I will be really busy the next two weeks, so I probably won't be posting until mid-July! I already feel super drained and it's not helping the fact that I'll be up earlier than I normally am.

When is the new List™ coming out?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
*Clears throat*
Ok. So. Uh. At FIRST it was gonna be a 1k follower celebration present for y'all... but I got to 1k and realised there were still too many prompts on my current List. So at the moment it's on track to be a New Years Celebration present?? Maybe?? Imma have to get a hell of a lot of writing done between now and then😅. There'll be all the fics from the current List that haven't been done yet, plus around 29 (😨) new ideas.
I'm currently working on Badass!Merlin Part 3, and Control Part 4. Then I think it will be the final part of Long Lost Prince, the final part of the Twin!AU (both of which will be rather short), and then maybe #32, #44, #59, #60 and then who knows. I want to get at least a few more done before I update it, but like I said, that's a LOT of writing to get done in 3 weeks. Especially since it's my dad's birthday this weekend, my birthday next week, then Christmas, and then recovering from Christmas (there's no family drama, we just drink a lot of booze😅), so we shall see!!
Officials and health experts were watching nervously to see if the public would heed warnings to limit the size of their gatherings and take other steps to slow the virus.
The average number of daily coronavirus cases in the United States set a record for the 26th straight day on Saturday as officials and health experts watched nervously to see whether Fourth of July gatherings would increase the spread. The new high came even as the holiday kept some state health departments from reporting their latest batches of infections.
The virus continued to spiral out of control in much of the country, particularly in the South, as several states experienced record numbers of confirmed infections and hospitalizations. Florida logged another daily high number of new cases, while hospitalizations in Arizona set a record, and ICU capacity at the world’s largest medical center, in Houston, surpassed 100 percent at one point.
Here are some significant developments:
Cincinnati, Cleveland and Wichita became the latest major U.S. cities to pass mask ordinances. “Masks are our best hope to keep people safe and to keep the economy afloat,” Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley (D) said.
In tweets Saturday, President Trump correctly said the number of deaths attributed to the coronavirus and the rate of those deaths are declining. He also said that “If we didn’t test so much and so successfully, we would have very few cases” — a false and misleading statement because the rate of positive cases continues to rise in states showing a marked increase in infections.
Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, tested positive for the coronavirus Friday while in South Dakota, according to a person familiar with the situation who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the situation. Trump Jr. was cleared of the virus, and the couple will drive home together to avoid contact with others.
Public-health experts warned that the virus showed little sign of slowing, partly because of people going to bars and restaurants. Tom Frieden, former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said young adults make up a significant share of new infections but added that the virus will spread to others.
“It’s worse, will continue to get worse, and will take months to improve substantially,” he said. “We are going in the wrong direction, fast.”
The holiday weekend could prove pivotal in the country’s efforts to contain the waves of infection that have swept across the country in recent weeks, testing whether sufficient numbers of Americans are prepared to abruptly alter their behavior to prevent the pandemic from spiraling further out of control. Infections spiked in several states after the last U.S. holiday, Memorial Day.
Nationwide, the rolling seven-day average for new cases was 48,321 on Saturday, up 11,700 from a week ago, according to tracking by The Washington Post. Fourteen states also reported new average highs.
Florida set another daily record for new infections, reporting 11,458 confirmed cases. The state has reported multiple daily records since late June, and the rate of positive test results has climbed into the double digits. Only New York has tallied more cases in a single day, with 11,571 on April 15.
Adding to Florida’s grim figures, six of the 10 U.S. counties that have seen the sharpest increases in coronavirus cases over the past week were in the Sunshine State, according to The Post’s tracking. They included the population hub of Miami-Dade County as well as several less-populated counties inland and along the Gulf Coast.
In Arizona, another hotbed for new infections, a record 3,113 patients were hospitalized with covid-19, up 100 from Friday. Ninety percent of the state’s intensive care unit beds and 85 percent of inpatient beds were in use, according to health officials.
Hospitals throughout hard-hit Texas were also filling quickly, with ICU capacity at Houston’s Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest hospital complex, at one point exceeding 100 percent. The state’s 7,890 hospitalizations set a record, while local judges in Hidalgo and Starr counties issued emergency alerts saying beds were full and urging the public to stay home.
Montana, South Carolina, Mississippi and California also reported new highs for hospitalizations.
The country’s average daily death toll continued to wane — from 566 this time last week to 489 Saturday — but experts warned that fatalities could trend upward again as more people fell ill.
On Friday, new infections nationwide reached another single-day high of 57,497, and at least 20 states set record highs for the average of new cases over seven days.
Faced with the soaring numbers, governors and mayors around the country canceled or scaled back Independence Day celebrations and pleaded with people to wear masks, maintain social distancing and only celebrate with household members.
“As a veteran, I can tell you patriotism is not about putting your own health or others’ health at risk,” Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards said. “We can honor and celebrate our country in many ways, and I cannot think of anything more patriotic than doing so in a way that protects our family, friends and neighbors.”
Beaches were closed in Los Angeles, South Florida and in other states, but Myrtle Beach, S.C., remained open to the public, even as cases in the city and state continued to rise sharply. The tourist hotspot passed a last-minute mask ordinance as thousands of vacationers flocked in for the holiday.
“We are doing all that we can,” Mayor Brenda Bethune told CNN. “I believe that people spread this virus — that’s been proven — not places.”
Even the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest looked different this year. The annual Coney Island event, which usually draws thousands of spectators, took place Saturday at a private location without fans. Workers had to wear masks and gloves.
Trump was scheduled to hold a “Salute to America” event on the White House lawn Saturday evening, with doctors, nurses and other pandemic front line workers joining him before a fireworks display on the Mall, according to the White House. Local officials urged people not to come downtown, fearing that a large crowd could cause an uptick in coronavirus infections.
For those who started to arrive on the Mall in the afternoon, the National Park Service distributed face masks.

The Red Devil's Chronicles' Devil May Cry January 2024 News Updates: Peak of Combat, Dense Capcom, etc.
Hey there, how's it going? Here are January 2024's Devil May Cry news updates that I've come across:
1. Pressslee on Twitter/X is continuing development of a Devil May Cry fan game about Dante's and Vergil's childhood.
2. Capcom is holding another creator collab contest (for USA and Canada only).
3. DMC1 Dante gets featured on Capcom's new promo art of their Trip Tokai.
4. Capcom is getting more strict with their no mods policy.
b) Only to reconsider after fans give their feedback.
c) And pull DMC3 and the original DMC4 off of Steam.
5. More exposing of the company Nebula Joy behind the Peak of Combat game.
b) And what happened with its development.
c) And more.
d) And how the developers are trying to make themselves look good by removing negative criticism and other backlash (also false advertising).
e) And how the developers will ban anyone who asks for a refund of the game (scroll up for more context).
MY THOUGHTS ON THESE UPDATES:
1. Pressslee's game is looking great! Looking forward to what else they have in store for it.
2. It's great that Capcom's holding another creator collab. But I feel bad for those outside of Canada and USA who can't participate, and for those that definitely deserve a spot that don't get accepted. I would love to enter these contests myself, considering how much of a Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, and Ace Attorney fan I am.
But what sets me back are how busy and distracted I am where I can't keep a consistent schedule to make content relating to those games often. And the fact that I'm more of an observer than one who participates in discussions, and such.
3. Awesome how Capcom continues to feature Dante in their official promo arts. I find it hilarious (and hot, NGL) that the straps on Dante's chest look like they're ready to snap off 🤭
4. It's really disappointing what route Capcom's going through...Nice that they sort of reconsidered, but to pull DMC3 and DMC4 off of Steam? Eesh...And it's coincidentally on the time of DMC4's anniversary, and close to DMC3's....At least DMC4 Special Edition's still available, and you can still play DMC3 in the HD Collection.
Another thing that baffles me is Capcom's approach with the Peak of Combat game. I understand there may be contracts and such, but it's still shocking how they've been pretty quiet about the backlash from the fans of it, how they haven't done anything about Nebula Joy's scamming ways, and Itsuno's been reposting the ads about it on his Twitter/X profile...
5. Speaking of Peak of Combat, it's amazing how far down the rabbit hole goes about the ridiculousness of this game's developers, Nebula Joy...Yes, Capcom is taking part of the development of this game by supervising, but Nebula Joy's the one pulling the strings on what happens with it.
I've got a story as well. So yesterday I went to get gas for my car. The clerk notices my Devil May Cry buttons I have on the strap of my purse. He tells me he got the Peak of Combat game. It costed him $100, he only unlocked 2 characters, and he was one of the top players in the 1st week of its launch. His thoughts on the game though? He dislikes it, and regrets paying $100 for it.
One of my friends/followers on Twitter/X RealNerored/Neroredgrave is gonna make a video exposing things he and other fans' experienced with the game and its developers.
** So Devil May Cry V's anniversary is coming up as well. I would love to make a celebratory piece of it, but I can't really think of anything to make. I've got a few unfinished pieces of DMCV fan art in my folders, but I don't think they're worthy enough to be shared as a way of celebrating its anniversary. We'll see, though. **
