hey I tried using the degree progress report but it isn’t working for me so I found this chart thing (http://www.yorku.ca/laps/comn/documents/ChecklistforHonoursBASeptember2014.pdf) with the requirements for my program and i’m slightly confused and was wondering if you could help me figure this out
- I only took 21 credits in my first year (9 elective credits and 12 gen ed credits ) -I’m taking COMN 1000 6.0 this year so I can’t take any other COMN class until next summer. -For my gen eds I just need a 9.0 HUMA or SOSC to complete them (can I take two 6.0 credit courses instead of one 9.0 credit?) -and I need 9.0 Elective credits to finish those ^^i’m taking these during f/w 15-16^^ but what else can I take so I don’t fall more behind? this is what i’m confused on what the heck are “other credits”? can you please explain the upper level requirement section? i’m really confused about the part where it says “Including credits earned in major, Students must complete at least 36 credits at the 3000 or 4000 level, at least 18 of which must be at the 4000 level.” but it only has a spot for one 6.0 3000 course and one 6.0 4000 course hopefully one of you can help me☺️ and thanks in advance!😊

I can only assume that they’re referring to electives because all the major courses/credits are already accounted for in the check-list.

Basically, you would need 18 credits in 4000 level courses and 18 credits in 3000 level courses.
The including term, refers to taking electives at the upper year level along with major courses.
If you need further explanation then I strongly recommend seeing an academic advisor as we can’t answer all questions regarding specific majors, especially concerning requirements.
