I don't plan on deleting my tumblrs, and as of right now I don't plan on totaling abandoning them. We'll see how this update shakes out as it seems to have broken a number of things not intended to be touched, but I do not have high hopes. That said, I am taking a bit of a break from Tumblr. I do have a BSKY but I use it pretty sparingly. Maybe that will change, who knows! Feel free to reach out for my discord, if anyone would like. I'll check back in here every now and then. I loved this website, I love this little corner of the community. I am annoyed at how devastated I feel about this update. Leaving fun tags was one of the ways I connected to others and is not replicated on any other website. This update feels pointless and cruel for a number of reasons that others have articulate with much more clarity than I can muster.

last post I'm gonna make in this tag for a while: have we learned the lesson at this point that pulling the goalie is different in this league and completely useless? this league is about goalies. the parity across the league is ridiculous, but nowhere moreso than in net. you've got teams with first and second goalies who are both international championship or olympic medalists. that is bonkers.

but this is known. this has been talked about the whole time. how does that not lead to the very obvious conclusion that you cannot pull the goalie? when one team has their olympian in net and you don't, what do you think is going to happen? I haven't seen a comparison of eng stats between the pwhl and nhl, but I think I can pretty accurately guess what the difference would be.

we all knew pretty quickly that this series was going to be a goalie battle. why didn't that translate to never pulling a goalie for any reason? if the battle is between the goalies, surely taking your goalie off leaves you with your pants down, no? can we not tell that? are the two eng's in like two minutes enough? what will be?
