Their campaign is their lifeline. It is the only way they can collect money for food. Now, with the invasion in the North, Dina's family urgently need transport to the South.

Meta has deleted Dina's account (malakfamily3) and has taken down any new account she tries to create. Dina is terrified, as the main platform to share her campaign has been lost.

in need of just a little help right now...

So, since the new year began, I've been doing substantially better at keeping up with my bills while being able to keep a roof over my head. But for the week ahead (Feb. 25 - March 2) I'll be coming up short because my car insurance (GEICO) puts a hold on the funds in my checking account several days in advance of the payment date (the 28th). This month, it's coinciding with the day I have to pay for my room. I'm hoping to raise enough to cover the shortage, as I won't get paid until the 29th. new scam?

today i got these two asks back to back, after the user followed me on my main

both are asking for monetary help for a supposed sickly cat, and while worded differently the message comes across as very samey overall. that, and the fact that these two users have the same pfp, made me raise my eyebrow.

i looked into both blogs and they pass pretty good as normal new tumblr blogs, with personalized headers and all:

although just like with the asks, the format is a bit samey. as for the post itself, it seems like the vet clinics in the sheets are actually real places, so idk what's going on there lol.

looking through the blog, it has just enough posts reblogged for one to take a quick look and assume "yeah, that looks like a normal user". a deeper look into it lets one know that all of these posts (30 for the first user and 36 for the second user) were reblogged a few hours ago in a very short span of time, with the cat help post somewhere between.

to me, this is enough information to assume this is a new type of scam going on - and from what i've seen it's VERY effective. i myself was postponing reblogging the first user's post somewhere in the afternoon, until i got that second ask. so PLEASE, if you see any of your mutuals/followed blogs reblog something like that, let them know and report the blogs in question.
