Super random, super quick, no ref gouache sketch, because for some reason, after a full day of not managing to get anything done yesterday, it got to 11pm and I got an urge to just paint...something. Might not seem like a big deal to you guys, but to me it's unheard of. Not the urge to paint, but the willingness to just go with the brushstrokes, without planning, without a vision, without a variety of references. Took me less than 40min, and I just put paint on paper and tried not to worry. I have no idea if I like it, but it was kinda liberating not to think, for a while. That's another goal for me this year, to loosen up and let go of wanting to be in control of every little bit of my work. Anyway. Here you go.
