Might move characters around, but mostly stand on this. Would love to hear others line ups/thoughts.
Reasonings:
Blue - Robert Robertson/Mecha Man
Main character because of his wide variety of dynamics across UTMV and parrel as a non-powerful working with powerful entities. Also Blue trying to figure out to date Dream or Nightmare is funny. And that one dialogue option with Ink/Pheonomaman.
Picked for the dynamic with Blue and Ink, also yeah feels like an instant no brainer for me. A one to one match of character/powers and even colors. And for some reason I thought Blonde blaser sponsered invisigal for the Z-Team?? Can't find that but I like the idea of Dream/Blonde bringing Night/Visi to the team.
Ink - Pheonomaman
Ridiculously strong and difficulty navigating others, plus dating Dream/Blonde, and he has a superpower that you can unlock that is just antidepresants--which could be Ink's paints. Lotta reasons for Ink to be Pheonomaman.
Geno - Chase
Originally thought Red, but can have the same dynamic as Blue and have been Sans Classic until his power Determination/speed melted/aged him. Also ignoring the tsundere fandom perspective and sticking to actual Geno, personality fits great.
Epic - Roy
I almost forgot to add Roy until I was about to post. I could move around characters for this, but I like Epic doing his own thing in the back of SDN and him being a tech wiz/science guy for SDN. Also hating Night/Visi later for the story.
Nightmare - Invisigal
Powers and personality align as well as the dynamic with Blue. There is a strong parallel of Nightmare turning to a shadow to stalk the same as Visi turning Invisible. Also nothing is stopping me from giving Nightmare Asthma and saying he can't hold the shadow form when he runs out of air. Or even simpler: His corruption is weaker and he can't hold his powers for long anymore.
LV20 Cross (Specifically) - Golem
Yes he could be punch up or Water boy, but I chose LV20 specifically for Night/Visi and Cross/Golem team up. LV20 insures we have the overpowered character that Golem is and also the issues Golem has with accessing spaces. Also the quiet respect between Blue/Robert and Cross/Golem.
Dust - Coupe
It could be Killer, but Horror as punch up and I gotta have Knuckles and Knives. And Dust matches Coupe's personality far more, as well as her history and expertise.
Horror - Punch Up
Picked purely for Knives and Knuckles, but I think a tiny Horror would be fantastic. Also power's/strength match.
Killer - Flambe
Personality match and the extreme hatred of Blue/Robert purely for hating on Blue/Robert.
Fresh - Prism
Controversial take BUT HEAR ME OUT. Ignoring Fresh hating swearing, the background of a pop star and the power of duplication/projection. While not the same, many see Fresh as having a colony of parasites and spreading them, which can parallel the projection power. Also Fresh and Killer would be unstoppable pranksters.
Error - Sonar
Error would sound fantastic with MoistKritical's voice. Also the dynamic with Lust/Malevola while rarely seen in the utmv fandom it would be fucking great. While not a one for one match up of powers, I'd like to think Error's version of Sonar's bat-form could either be summoning Gaster Blasters or glitching himself out until he breaks gravity itself and can fly.
Oh also, the scenario's where Sonar is protecting/bodyguarding that business guy and fanboying? It's Error bodyguarding/fanboying over Undernovela Asgoro or Sin.
Lust - Malevola
Malevola is the odd one out who's a demon amongst (mostly) humans, and I strongly believe that can parallel with Lust. Along with dynamics with Error/Sonar, and the cult scenarios could be seen as fans of Lust. (Which makes a good case for Lust to be prism, but we gonna ignore that I like Error/Lust duo.)
Red - Waterboy
While not as common of a depiction of Red anymore, Red can absolutely be a nervous wreck/mess. Matched with a cool-headed Blue and able to have dynamics with Lust/Malevola if Error/Sonar is kicked or Horror/Punch up if Dust/Coupe is kicked. He's well rounded to fit with the rest of the ragtag bunch.
Sci - Shroud
It took me a minute to figure this one out but I believe there's a compelling argument here. Trying to avoid spoilers: Sci would have the knowledge, powers, and resources to offer help to villains, as well as hating Hero's so much to take power into his own hands like Shroud.
This is for the Omori x utmv AU i seemed to have accidently created but i'm rolling with it. If it gets pretty popular i may make a seperate blog for it so it doesn't clog up my main blog loads lol
