Ontario unveils new provincial park near Toronto

The Ontario government says it is pushing forward with plans to create Ontario's first urban provincial park.

The Ontario government says it is pushing forward with plans to create Ontario's first urban provincial park in the Township of Uxbridge.

The government says the proposed park in Oak Ridges Moraine may include up to 532 hectares of provincially owned lands.

It's still unclear what exactly the park will look like as the government says it will be working on a feasibility study and consultations on the proposed protected area in the months ahead.

Environment Minister David Piccini issued a statement saying the government looks forward to working with the public and local stakeholders to make this vision a reality.

The sheer detached from reality arrogance. He might not even win his outer London seat in Parliament next election (constituency changes, the local Tory council is struggling with a £38 million deficit, Heathrow expansion, people from inner London moving out to Uxbridge).

Sketchfest 2021 - #2 and #3

Here's the final two pieces from Uxbridge, MA, both are watercolor and ink. I did not realize I was using a water soluble pen so there was some bleeding. First is a private residence near the center of town.

Second is the former middle school. I heard they filmed something for Netflix in it over the summer, not sure what though.

These were really fun quick pieces to do, so might continue these architectural sketches. I might take a ride to Providence or the Newport Mansions over the next few weeks and get some more done.
