You know what: Drops Werewolf!Goemon and Vampire Eris Headcanons/Lore, even though no one really asked for them. (TW: "Death", a bit of blood and slight angst especially for Vampire!Eris's lore).
If someone that is not Eris tried to pet goemon, he’ll absolutely snarl at you and if you attempt to pet him, he’ll bite you (not hard but it’ll hurt a bit)
But if Eris pets him, he’ll basically melt on her touch making him purr and make happy little growling noises. He might also rest against her as he dozes off (werewolf samurai is sleepy). When’s he’s human his face goes red when he pets him or gives him ear scratches.
Dogs now love goemon… well almost all dogs, some bark at him since they can sense the beast beneath goemon but usually when goes out to meditate he comes back with a pack of stray puppies following him, Eris finds it adorable while Goemon is genuinely confused on why dogs are following him.
Eris has seen goemon rummaging through the fridge at 3 in the morning, with a whole raw stake in his mouth… Of course, when he snapped out of it, he was reasonably grossed out. Basically, he might have thoughts or cravings for raw meat.
When the full moon approaches goemon begins to make more body hair (Especially in his arms, legs and chest) but Eris doesn’t mind he loves goemon, hairy or not (though… he might attempt to shave it off with his sword).
When in bat form, Eris perches on top of goemon’s head. His hair is so warm and fluffy that she might doze off, Goemon does not move when this happens, he lets her sleep in peace.
Eris actually drinks animal blood (So every time I draw her with a wine glass its animal blood that she’s drinking) but she has a habit of nibbling on goemon’s neck (not hard of course, just a tiny little nibble).
If one of them goes feral the other one will calm the one who’s currently going feral. But… if both Eris and Goemon go feral, its pure chaos.
The sun doesn’t hurt Eris, but it does make her weaker (crosses also don’t hurt her).
When scared Goemon jumps in Eris’s arms Scooby Doo style. This happens when he’s afraid or when Jigen scolds him.
Goemon may wake up in the middle of the night (Usually before a full moon), goes up to a window and starts to howl. Usually it’s quiet, Melancholy and beautiful but sometimes he may start to scream at the moon, Eris does not sleep when this happens.
When goemon is about to transform (he sweats like crazy, his hands are trembling, etc.) he hides form Eris because he doesn’t want burden her of his curse or worse because he thinks he would hurt her. So, he locks himself in his room to avoid being seen by anyone. (Like this btw)
Eris knows this and that’s why she usually arrives at his room before he does, even if he begs her to leave she won’t. Because she knows he doesn’t have to go through this alone. So, she stays with him, she comforts him through the change, even if it looks and sounds painful, she’ll stay with him no matter what.
His fur is very soft, coarse but never rough, perfect for pets and scratches.
When Goemon howls, it’s long, wild yet melancholy, Eris joins in (since he can only growl, snarl and of course, Howl.), both have this duet but instead of singing it’s just them howling at the moon.
(This might be the silliest headcanon I have and I absolutely love it) Eris sometimes takes goemon out for a walk, she puts goemon a collar and just takes him out for walkies, surprisingly it keeps him calm and not in the mood to maul a squirrel or rummage the trash cans. (this has definitely happened and it’s making lose it)
(Ok I lied about the previous one being the silliest, THIS is by far the silliest headcanon I had) Goemon pretends he doesn’t like to play fetch (He secretly likes it), If you throw something, especially if it’s a stick or a ball… He’ll absolutely go after it, catch it with his hands (Or mouth) and come back to you panting like an excited golden retriever until he snaps it out and realizes what happened, His face gets very red and won’t talk about it. (I imagine this happening to him lmao)
Still very protective of Eris (and surprisingly… well not really, Zantetsuken.) especially when he’s a werewolf.
Whenever Goemon dreams about Eris his tail begins to wag (or when he’s human, his leg twitches like he’s trying to wag his tail.)
Vampire!Eris Lore (aka how did Eris became a vampire).
You know that one episode in Part 2 where there’s Vampires.
Basically, Eris gets bitten by Camilla and “Dies” (She got locked up in a coffin).
Goemon was devastated. After that faithful day, he didn’t talk, he didn’t do anything. The only thing he would do is go out at night into a forest, meditate and then just mournfully howl at the moon (Poor guy was depressed)
Until one day, a bat seemed to follow him all day, he thought it was another vampire stalking him to attack, but then when night rolled around… The bat returned and this time it had Eris’s hat, he didn’t believe it at first but then… Poof, the bat had transformed into Eris again. Goemon silently cried while hugging her.
Also, fun fact: I have two versions of Werewolf!Goemon. One being that Eris is Human (The Werewolf!Goemon au) and one where Eris is a vampire (My own take on a lupin iii Supernatural/Monster au that you’ll see later) (So that's why i sometimes draw Eris as vampire or human lol).
