I love how Hal's like "I love you dude, but you would literally eat everyone on Earth so....."

I mean if you think about it, Hal, and whoever his dark master is, has an extremely valid point. Barry's hunger without vampirism requires that he consume some 4.8 million calories a day--the average human male eats 2,500. Now make him a vampire who's only resource is blood? And an uncontrollable urge to feed at that?

Barry would kill everyone.

Hal killing Barry is a heartbreaking thing he had to to, but he had to do it because they wouldn't be able to control Barry's hunger long enough to find a solution. It was a logical kill, cold and calculated, but logical nonetheless.
