I really love the concept more of Vampire Jayce and Human Viktor.

I think it makes more sense since Vampires are usually depicted as living in more wealthier environments and are usually the higher ups and well Jayce lives in Piltover the richer, wealthier side of the two sister cities.

But I also just think it feeds more into Jayce’s possessiveness and obsessiveness. Jayce whenever he feeds doesn’t really Enjoy It. Not that he feels bad or guilty over what he is doing exactly but more-so the fact that all this blood tastes so disgusting really. He needs it to live so he feeds when he has to.

Until he meets Viktor. I imagine Vampires can smell blood from a mile away and heightened senses and all that and Jayce sort of learned to ignore all the smells since he doesn’t find them “tasty” or appealing at all. Especially living in Piltover the blood of the rich and arrogant is just insufferable and nasty.

So, when he meets Viktor it’s like a whole new world just opened. He suddenly in the first time since he can recall, feels that insatiable urge and need for blood. He used to think he’d never have this desire he’s heard other vampires have. But suddenly now it hits tenfold. He feels like he will die if he can’t get a bite into Viktor and drink that sweet, delicious, addictive blood of his. To mark that neck and body of his with his fangs.

I think they’d build a rather somewhat dynamic. But Jayce only gets worse as time goes on. He obviously doesn’t want to hurt or kill Viktor, No. Never, of course not. So he holds off as many days as he can in between feedings. He can’t drink from Viktor everyday as much as he’d love to, but Viktor *is* still only mortal and Jayce doesn’t plan on turning Viktor anytime soon(yet).

It’s not like Jayce can drink anyone’s blood ever again. Viktor’s has ruined anything else for him. He will never be satisfied. He will keep wanting, and needing.

He’d also feel the need to show any other vampires(or people in general) to “back off” leaving nasty marks on more visible areas of Viktor’s body like his neck primarily. It’s so bad Viktor needs to wear turtlenecks and scarfs often. He *needs* to mark whats *His*.

I see and adore Vampire!Viktor and Werewolf!Jayce AU's but I would also like to raise you;

Vampire!Jayce who has to drink so much blood per feeding due to his size, and all that extra blood pulsing through his system makes him burn like a fucking FURNACE-

Werewolf!Viktor whose instincts + enhanced senses (as dulled as they are from overexposure to The Gray) help him with navigating through the more dangerous aspects of his work/research and contributing to his obsessive focus + drive to push himself to the breaking point for concrete results-

Vampire!Jayce who carries the rosary his mother gave him when he was young in a specialised locket that Viktor made for him, one that would contain/negate the heat generated from contact with his skin, to save him from having another unhealable burn mark seared into his flesh-

Werewolf!Viktor who eats so much red meat (even by werewolf standards) just to get any kind of nutritional value, to keep from going anemic too often, who crunches on bones and sucks out the marrow until there's absolutely nothing left. Who usually tries to order his meat cooked just enough that people aren't too put off if he's eating with others but has still rare enough to earn him a few odd looks-

Vampire!Jayce who had a hard time not making an absolute mess of himself anytime he fed as a newly turned vampire, always biting too deep and too wide to fit his whole mouth around the open wound. Who is always left petulant at the fact that when he finally managed to get the hang of how to feed, the gap between his front teeth still made it impossible for him to keep entirely clean-

Werewolf!Viktor, who already had a hard time keeping still in the lab, getting even more antsy the closer it gets to the full moon. Who often has to buy topical painkillers for his mouth, because of the ache he constantly feels from his teeth getting pushed out of his gums to make room for his fangs and vice versa, whose teeth are always left a little crooked each time this occurs. Who gets bogged down with the confusing combination of wanting people close but also holding them at arms length as a result of wanting physical contact/affection + wary of anyone getting too close when he's vulnerable-

Vampire!Jayce who always presses closely to others subconsciously to feel the blood rushing beneath their skin, whose mouth always waters whenever it gets hot outside because the heat draws blood closer to the surface of the skin, who constantly taps his pen to the beat of Viktor's heart when they're working in the lab together-

Werewolf!Viktor whose eyes reflect light back in darkness, who can see in the dark as if it were daytime and often works in the dark + constantly giving Sky a heart attack when he just suddenly appears out of nowhere. Who was very skilled at moving quietly when he was healthier, and unintentionally has a habit of stalking/trailing people he's interested in and waiting until he has a prime opportunity to corral/corner them-

You got it! CWs: Accidental Vampire Mauling, Jayce starving himself (of blood? but yknow), reference to the psychoactive effects of vampire venom and tolerances, etc. Also blood and injury. Vamp stuff. ___

Jayce had developed the unfortunate habit of.... not feeding.

It wasn’t....intentional. Exactly. He had a few people who were universally willing to donate to him if he needed. But vampire venom was like any psychoactive substance: after a while, you developed a tolerance. And that just...wasn’t something he was willing to do to Cait. Or even to Ezreal or Vi. He could drink from the bag, but it made him nauseous, and so he really only did it when he had to. He knew it was stupid to be a picky eater, but it’d only been a few years, and this hadn’t gotten any easier. He was hoping someday it would. And of course, there was the matter of not wanting Cait to build up a tolerance in case she and Vi decided to be turned themselves– they’d discussed it. It was important to consider it. If either of them went down in the field, he didn’t want them to stay down.

So... logistics. Sentiments. Complications about donation. Jayce is hungry.

He’s hungry, and in the library, and it’s two am. He has his hand over his mouth and he’s trying to breathe. He needs to pull himself together enough to get his books together and... go. He needs to go. He needs to get to Cait, or to someone, before–

Someone taps his shoulder.

“Excuse me.” A polite male voice says. “The library is closed.”

Jayce has just enough time for a single thought before he blacks out–

Fuck.

He comes to in bits and pieces. There’s a hand in his hair and a warm body underneath him, and someone is mumbling swear words in a language he doesn’t speak. There’s warmth running down his chin, and copper and sweet in his mouth, and it takes him a second to register that it’s blood, and his teeth are out, and shit shit shit shit–

“It’s alright.”

He flinches, realizing a second too late that his internal monologue has become external.

“I’m– sorry.” he manages, pulling back.

Oh.

The boy underneath him is beautiful, pale, skin dotted over in little moles like constellation. His eyes are hazy, and he’s smiling a little. Likely loopy from the venom. Jayce feels his stomach twist with guilt, and he’s about to apologize again, when the boy says–

“Is it like a mosquito's venom?”

Jayce blinks.

“–what?”

“Is it going to itch.” He clarifies, tone slightly patronizing. “The itching is–anti coagulation. This has been very pleasant, I would find bleeding out very inconvenient.”

“Oh– no it’s. It’ll coagulate faster. We’re not– murder. Predators. The murder makes it– harder to. It’s complicated.”

“I would like to know more.” He says. “And possibly repeat this. This has been excellent for my pain. If you’ve– had your fill, would you mind grabbing my cane?”

“Your–” Jayce registers belatedly that there’s a cane a few feet away, and he winces and gets it, pulling back off of the other boy’s chest. “I really am–”

“Don’t.” He’s cut off with a dismissive wave. “Help me up.”

Jayce complies, a little amused, despite his worry. Usually after he fed from other people they turned into puddles.

“Scientifically fascinating.” The other boy is mumbling, as he takes his cane back from Jayce. “I want to study you.”

“I don’t even know your name.” Jayce points out.

“Viktor.” He says, and smiles, beautiful, and Jayce feels his heart beat– just. Once. Ah, fuck.

He smiles back, and Viktor’s attention hones in on his teeth.

Well, this would be... an interesting partnership.
