since @/enigmasalad made a post about herm being pretty i wanted to also give some appreciation for robert's features :3

as opposed to herm who is more androgynous, robert has this soft kind of masculinity to him in both appearance and personality which i REALLY love. he has a small, angular face but a strong jawline. thick, downturned eyebrows contrasted by pretty brown doe/puppy eyes. the contrast in his appearance makes him so much fun to watch because he's also such an expressive character!!

he has a look that's sorta.....balanced but not in a boring way? like he's sort of an average looking guy but he has both an extra softness and an extra edge to him. it's hard to explain but like he's super attractive to me and i find it very interesting how his appearance is so simple yet contains so many multitudes at the same time.

(also wanna give some appreciation for his lil freckles and stubble HHNNGNGHH ITS SO CUTE)

in conclusion, i'm so jealous of both him AND herm at the same time theyre both so lucky to have each other. i could go on for hours about how pretty they both are theyre such a power couple!!!!

Isn't a really important part of the movie them being..equals? I feel like this is forgotten. Neither of them are 'more stupid'. They're equals. You can't compare their technology because their separate evolutionary needs made them create different things. Why are you people weirdly obsessed with borderline dehumanising them - even if one isn't 'technically' human, he is still intelligent & with a conscious. His Species Literally Went To Space. design notes

want to keep the original colours but make it fit eachother's reversed roles

robert's name is "blue flames" bcs i want to keep the flam-bae theming

robert's based on marvel rival's phoenix design bcs i'm thinking that his combat kit is similar to her -- the flared off blue sash shows the astral pulse' stability. the lil black attachments are stabilisers for the pulse.

chad will still have his iconic chest window (so help me god) because that's integral to who he is 🫵 the red gem gets to sit between his beautiful boobs as a treat robert may or may not be jealous of the semi-sentient superpowered gemstone

chad's colour-palette gets to have white to make his palette less villain and closer to "generic hero"; think mandy's blonde blazer

robert gets to have the brown jacket bcs (1) cunty (2) his suit came from the pulse directly -- a la magical girls -- so without the jacket he's basically one layer away from. flashing the world. which i think he'd hate. so he gets the fuckass brown jacket

(3) also, design wise, the jacket helps to tie in his hair colour to the colour-palette

robert still has a secret identity, hence the mask. chad does too but he has the clark kent effect + instant bleach so he doesn't need the mask.

flambae has a very mean girl archetype ingame (duo-ing with prism) so i want to carry that to this blond blazer version; he's the poster boy but still showboaty and bratty, though pulled back a lot to keep everything PG

funfact: incase you weren't here for the original wip post -- robert got his powers because he was severely injured with a gaping chest wound, and shoved the astral pulse inside as a last desperate resort to keep it from being stolen. it ended up melding into him.

bonus funfact: chad is still a pyro but suppresses his powers entirely. why? well, i suppose the mall-gate didn't turn out as well as the OG timeline and he ended up being scared of his own powers mayhaps.....
