Phantom breathed in the scent of human sweat and heard the frantic pulse of a pounding heart beneath the much louder thump of footsteps. He flexed his fingers, his claws scraping along the floor. His fangs lengthened in anticipation. The human was getting closer. They were almost to his cell. Exhaustion had made Phantom slow; he would need to wait until they reached the bars before he could spring up and grab them.

Saliva pooled in his mouth. He could soon drink his fill of warm, fresh blood. He would be able to feel the human's struggles underneath him grow weaker, the hands that had pushed him away pulling him closer, inviting him to take his fill even as the human died to sate his hunger.

Finally, he would be a predator taking down his prey again, not a creature to be poked and prodded.

The human called out in a quiet whisper, "Phantom?"

Phantom's eyes snapped open. He threw himself as far away from the bars as he could, crashing against the opposite wall. He saw him now, the startled "O" his lips formed, the black hair that made his wide blue eyes stand out sharply even in the low light. Danny. The foolish human coming within reach of his cage was Danny.

That idiot.

"Danny," Phantom breathed. He sucked in greedy gulps of air, intoxicated yet again as wonder, fear, and hunger surged within him.

Danny relaxed his face and tried to pull his lips into a smile. It wavered at the corners, more grimace than grin. "H-hey, Phantom. You're looking, uh…"

Like he had been starved? Phantom could well imagine what he looked like. He winced, wanting to hide from Danny's sight, but he could barely stand. His limbs felt weak, little more than things to be dragged across the floor. He wasn't the imposing creature that could pin Danny to a wall anymore. It was taking most of his strength to remain sitting upright against the wall when all he really wanted to do was lay on his side.

"Leave," Phantom whispered.

Instead of obeying, the fool stepped closer.

Vampire!Phantom taking his S/O to the private rooms in one of his clubs, telling them to stay there which is strange because if they are brought to his clubs they’re very rarely let out if his sight. He comes back with a young person not much older than you who’s clearly hypnotised into obedience. You’ve seen him drink before and he’s always clean with it, especially around you and he’s showing you how he does it, making sure the person is cleaned up for your benefit more than there’s and showing that you won’t hurt anyone, stating you were too sweet for that.

After your conversion he lets you pick whoever you want and you both drink from them at the same time, at first he lets you have more and has to pull you back when you’re taking a little too much but drinking from the same person at the same time makes the two of you feel connected like neither of you ever thought was possible before. You’re normally holding hands during it and there might be some smeared blood on your lips when in that rush straight after a drink you’re macking on each other

I just finished reading your Vampire!Phantom story (love it btw) and imagined that Phantom and Danny go to that 24 hour diner and Danny’s eating a burger or something idk and this small family walks in with a little kid who’s like half asleep bc it’s obviously really late and while Danny’s eating ketchup drips from his mouth and the sleep deprived kid sees Danny who is still super pale from the blood loss with ketchup dripping and asks him if he’s a vampire because he thinks the ketchup is blood. Phantom tries not to die of laughter.

(Bonus: I also imagined that Phantom would try to be seductive or something and lick the ketchup off Danny’s mouth only to fail miserably because he forgot how gross human food is)

Idk if a kid would be out that late, but what about a sleep deprived college kid? Maybe even the waiter, OOOOOH omg imagine if the waiter (or just another customer) is a sleep deprived college kid who's been watching vampire movies and they pull Phantom aside at some point to ask if he's safe because there's something off about the guy he came in with.
