I don’t know what that is, but I don’t like it
It’s hours later when Snake emerges from his closet. He opens the door and gets up quietly, then pads over to the bathroom. He flips the lightswitch upwards and looks into the mirror. He doesn’t know what he sees. He runs the water and a shower and scrubs all the blood off of him. Ace’s or his, it all swirls down the drain and Snake watches with dull fascination.
He dresses himself numbly, he doesn’t know what he puts on- he’s half certain one of his socks belong’s- belonged- to Ace. It doesn’t matter. He walks past open windows and doesn’t flinch when the sunlight burns his skin. Good. Let it kill him. The terror and disgust from before is replaced with something emptier than apathy. Snake feels nothing. It’s safer.
He finally walks over to the body. The body. Neutral terms. Not his brother, not Ace, not ‘boss’. A corpse. One currently leaking blood all over the floor. ‘Pull yourself together.’ Murdoc told him. Snake’s hands shook when he recieved that text. His hands do not shake now.
He supposes he should handle this.
“Ace?”
Aftermath
Snake's fingers are trembling and sliding across his phone screen as blood slicks the surface. What has he done?
You okay buddy? Uhhhhh lookin’ a little uhhhhh different these days
Snake is unconscious and slumped against a cardboard box that he squished aside when he shoved his way into the closet. His skin is a deadly pale, nearly matching the deadly pallor of Ace- but Snake doesn’t want to think about that right now. Blood cakes his hands, his mouth, his neck and chest, his knees where he crawled through it. He’s looking more red than green right now. His long and terrifying teeth ache and behind shut lids, the red of his eyes glows dully. Yes, he is looking a tad different. Will he be alright? Who’s to say?
You won't kill me. A lot of people have tried. I don't want to leave you alone like this.
His eyes go a dangerously deep shade of red and he slumps against the wall in defeat. He’s never really stood a a chance against Ace anyways- what point is there putting up a fight, Ace is probably right anyways. Stronger things than himself have tried to kill him and failed. It’s a moment of weakness Snake’s going to regret for a long time that causes him to consider it. The scorching dryness of his throat is reaching a new high and he finally gives in, he’s practically drooling and he’s not completely himself when he answers.
‘okay. okay, bosss. i warned ya’ though’
Oh, this is gonna be interesting. It's a good thing you can probably pull off a big hat pretty well, huh Snake?
Snake ventures a peek at the drawn curtains on the other side of the room and hisses venomously at the intense sting it brings his newly sensitive eyes. He’s currently hiding in the darkest corner of the room with all the lights off- he’s got a few rapidly healing but still gruesome burns on his arms from trying to close the curtains all together earlier. He gives a self-depreciating chuckle, despite the burn in his throat.
‘yeah, good thing, huh?’
vampire snake is the kind of guy who insists hes het in spite of fucking multiple men and taking dick in his butt plenty of times
